As someone who was brought up in a fairly conservative household, the concept of not marrying is alien to me. Yet this doesn't mean that I'd like to pursue it-- I've taken enough advice from this community to know that. Right now, there is a hole in my concept of what is means to be "single for life". For those that have been single for life or are now divorced, what aspects of being single counteract the solitude of not being married?
