My experience with this is, if they say that. they've already decided they don't want anything to do with you.

They are just keeping you around to get attention from you so they can validate themselves and feel secure.

Alternatively maybe play 20 questions (or 10 questions if she's not worth the time) (don't be creepy or try and sext) and make your last question "so <insert bar here> or <insert bar here> next Thursday?"
