Contrary to what some guys seem to think, being abusive isn't attractive because it's some alpha IDGAF trait. I think it's usually the opposite. Some girls think that if you aren't possessive or you never get mad at them it's because you don't care about her (and sometimes they're right). So they associate abusive/possessive behavior with love and security. 9 times out of 10 they're right I think. Generally a guy who gets mad at a girl, beats on a girl or plays mind tricks to keep her by his side does so because the girl is important to him or he needs her. Plus abuse and manipulation is not only about treating her like shit, usually there's some deal of lovebombing involved as well. So, the rollercoaster of emotions created by that insane level of push pull and sunken cost fallacy keep some girls hooked.

Dont watch everything you see through TRP lenses. Often times, people who were abused recreate the dynamics again because they are so used to it. Also, abusive men are also often times very manipulative and they oppress their victims psychologically. Its kind of like Stock Holm Syndrom. Women dont find abusive men ALWAYS attractive, in some cases yes, in some cases no. I also think that women tend to label men who are attractive as more abusive because they have the freedom to act out against their gf and wives.

3) Abusers are emotionally damaged and tend to to have the emotional thinking of three year olds, although they have the intellect, life experience, and conversation skills of adults. This allows them to be skilled at manipulating women's maternal instinct.

So in a certain sense this is like asking why parents don't abandon their own children.

I think it's a mixture of she's still attached combined with he makes her feel something.

I've adopted this trait to go as far as verbally scold and threaten to leave. It gets them excited. She wants to feel the excitement even if it's with the wrong person.
