When you have low self-esteem, you don't feel like you deserve anything. You feel beneath the things you have or receive. You also become prone to feelings of "screwing good things" up. It eventually becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I'll give you an example with this one girl I was with for a brief bit. I met her through friends at a bar. Huge IOI's we danced, hooked up. During making out and grinding, she would seem guilty and say things like "you can totally find someone better than me, Im going to let you go." I thought of it as a shit test, and as a result obliged The second I jokingly said okay, she pulled me back in. All green lights, right?

The next few times I went to hit her up, she became distant. She practically ghosted me on the second time to reach out to hang out. Well my buddy invited her to his big b-day event unaware of the brief stint we had. When we ran into each other, she admitted to ghosting me because she didn't feel I liked her enough and she didn't want to get hurt.

Moral of the story is low self-esteem girls will disappear without a trace. If you try to actually date them, they don't look at it like "oh wow a confidant guy that will actually be my boyfriend, I am so lucky. I am now changed, not depressed, but this happy little flower now!!!" That is a bunch of incel/MGTOW/BP fantasy land bull crap. They actually becomes suspicious. "Why would this guy find me worth his time? I don't deserve a guy like him. He's just going to leave me. Men suck. I am going to just ghost him first."

It’s not a immediately a red flag. Just like confident girls are not immediately green flags. I’ve dealt with both types of girls. It’s a problem when it’s extreme tho

Short answer - read the sidebar.

More expanded short answer - You end up being attracted to the girls that reflect your own self-esteem the best. They all act the same, all have insecurities and shit test you. It's about how they do it that matters and what will happen in the long term when shit hits the fan.

yes, BUT... it's a red flag in the same way that theme parks have lots of flags around. They're good for a ride, even if you don't want to live there.

low self esteem women can be incredibly fun. it's the crazy low self-esteem one's you want to avoid. there's often a fine line.
