I joined Tinder just out of boredom/compulsion and paid $30 for tinder platinum so I could see who right-swiped me. Not a single pretty girl right-swiped me and I'll privately share my instagram (via DM if requested). I'm not a bad looking guy. I'm just average looking but 6'3" tall.

I don't live in a big city. If I lived in a big city, would my luck be different? Or do you just have to be ripped/athletic-looking to get a beautiful woman to right-swipe you? (no girl higher than a HB-6 swiped right on me)

Tinder is an absolute trainwreck, especially since the pandemic started and everyone and their grandpa started using it. I'm usually against defeatist attitudes, but yeah, if you're not top 10% in terms of looks (at least, some even say top 5%) you're wasting your time. Even then you'd have thousands of competitors in an average city and you'd have to put a lot of time and effort into the app. A friend of mine definitely falls into the top 10% category and he almost makes Tinder a full time job while not getting laid significantly more frequently than me.

Not to mention that there are few quality girls on Tinder. The "8-10s" you'll see on there are often 5s with tons of filters and good camera angles. True 10s get enough male attention in the real world and don't usually go on dating apps. Plus, keep in mind, 50% or more girls who are on Tinder have absolutely no intention of hooking up with anyone and are just there for attention and validation.

So in conclusion, just don't use Tinder. Go out in the real world or bang girls in your social circle. You'll have more success with higher quality women, while putting in less time and effort.

Tinder sucks and it’s a waste of time and i feel bad for the money u wasted should’ve used that to buy crypto or a stock.. nothing but low quality females on tinder with filters and hiding the fat etc, the actual attractive girls don’t use dating apps just go meet them in person

Edit - tinder was the shit back in 2015-2017 when it was lowkey and new but now it’s too much competition not worth the time

To be honest, I met 3 friends that are definitely worth the $30 I paid.

As a dating app, tinder sucks.

But as a friend-finding app, it was at least worth $30!

I am fat but I use Tinder pictures that are 3 years old (where I look skinny). I do have a wife but it's an open marriage. (I don't remember why I lied about being bald -- but it was a lie -- I am only 10% balding and have normal male pattern hair loss only)

It's no big deal if you lie on reddit and tell people you're bald. Everything else I said was truthful (to the best of my knowledge). If you DM me, I'll give you my private instagram with my 3-year-old pics and you can see for yourself I'm not fat nor bald.

If using photos that are 3 years old and 25 pounds lighter is catfishing, then I'm catfishing. (I thought cat-fishing meant you use fake photos). My photos are real -- they're just 3 years old and 25 pounds lighter.

Why else would you use old photos that don’t resemble your current body?

Because I want girls to swipe right on me on Tinder and not learn that I've secretly gotten very chubby!
