Seeing this a lot lately on Reddit. A subreddit is created around an ideology, movement, etc, which acts as the top of a funnel - to create awareness, get new users in, offer low level value, etc.

Two other examples of this are femaledatingstrategy and nofap.

Join subreddit -> go to website -> signup for newsletter or follow on social media -> get more free info -> they sell you paid material, paid courses, guruship bullshit, advertising on site, etc.

To be clear, I have no problem with how that works. But I'm just laying it out here because it was really disingenuous how /r/asktrp did it. They prematurely closed it under the guise of Reddit not being accepting of them, somehow painting Reddit as the bad guys. If such a reason were to be true, it would be quite fragile in the face of stoicism (and you can see this as they get worked up to people rightfully telling them it was a mistake).

Rather than give users the option to visit the website or continue on, they want to try to funnel everyone over to their website. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a short term play to try to see how many desperate people they could force to sign up and make an account.

There are good principles in TRP, but if you are new, I wouldn't waste my time navigating the new awfully designed website to try to learn them.

Fuck the new website. That whole play is a plot to gather potential eyes for present and future revenue streams. They want to isolate as many people as possible in order to lead a monopoly that users depend on to gain knowledge.

I don't care about their ideologies and political views. Nobody even cares about the Red Pill on the internet. We're a bunch of dogs. Why would anyone try to mute us? Come on, we're not that important. They're acting under this pretense that reddit is behind the whole thing, only to then make some money off of the naive newbies and diehard incels who think they're following their loyal leaders. Complete shit show.

We need to bring it back. It's not about you, me, or the mods. It's about free, unbiased, neutral, and quality content that helps people improve their lives and relationships.

This puzzles me. I'm rather confused as to how you think I am making money off this.

I understand that you don't want to getting advice from people who have an ulterior motive, but how exactly is it that you think I am getting paid? The website itself doesn't run ads that I am aware of, and while it does accept donations, it's not breaking even.

RPS (and some generous donors) are essentially paying money for the right to have TRP the way it was before a bunch of social justice warriors with admin rights started messing with us.

And mess with us they have been. They have started banning mod accounts. The next step will be to tell us who we can and cannot appoint as mods, like they did with /r/The_Donald, and after that, they will just start modding people of their own choosing.

You say "why would they do this?", but it's not necessary to answer that question, because it is sufficient to point out that they actually have done exactly this in the past.

/u/redpillschool and I have spent almost a decade giving generously of our time and effort to build this stuff for you. If you want to try to build something new from scratch instead, solely for the privilege of remaining in a hostile environment controlled by people who hate you and wish you were dead, then... well, go ahead.

But I will not be assisting you, and you will rapidly discover just how much effort and time this sort of thing really takes.

Exactly what I was thinking. It's sad to see, but it's also funny how clueless they are. There are a lot of "dissidents" who have to fight hard to monetize their content because they tend to get pulled from all major payment processors and have to either make their own system or get custom contracts with small companies, which comes with its own huge set of problems and risks.

Look dude, those guys are old af. They are legit, no shit, in their mid 50s. They have NEVER interacted with a woman in her 20s since 2005. They're out of touch and avoid, like the fucking plague, any discussion about it.

There is a reason for this. Most of them are LARPing about their sexual success, others are lying the way women do, by omission. Say they have a harem but don't tell you they are dejected 5/10 50 year olds broads, if they even exist. Then say "well, I didn't lie, i just didn't tell you the whole truth...for the greater good, you see...".

They have no idea how to interact with women our age because they refuse to acknowledge that it's bigger than just "being a man" or routine sexual dynamics. There is a severe and constant societal component that worked in their debauchery, and for it. Like the Boomers, they don't understand what's going on and prefer not to acknowledge it so as to maintain a feeling of superiority without any engagement in current reality. refusing to see how fantastical things were and are being born when they were then calling you inept/stupid/weak/lazy for not being like them.

Im confused, are you referring to the mods and creators of the original ASKTRP sub? It would make sense they are all boomers. It's an older concept that started popping up around that time.

I think, at the base level, you need to get away from this old idea that there should be some treasure trove of amazing, solve all your problems data, readily accessible to you. I realize, at your age, this is difficult considering the world you were born into since everything is accessible in this way. Understand that this is, in small part, by design.

If you find someone that seems like they know what you want to know (Reddit or otherwise) ask them questions.

Unfortunately, there is no informational easy way out anymore because women are not the super easy to pick type that they were when TRP was founded. See, TRP never evolved and banned/avoided talking about changing landscapes. Citing that doing so “would make men not self improve”.

The basics are obvious at this point. Navigating 2021, however is tricky.

thank you for your insight, that is a great point. i will keep that in mind in your experience so far, in this changing landscape, what do you notice has changed drastically and what strategies have you used to overcome said changes? is it just that women know about trp now, and the psychology of it? is it that they know the PUA artists (lol) tricks? what's changed so much/how have you overcame it?

Oh, by all means, I have no desire to leave what reddit was when we started up.

But that's not reddit today. Our forum is massively censored by the higher ups, and our team has been picked off one-by-one as they try to subvert our purpose.

Today, there are certain topics that are strictly prohibited. That we used to talk about regularly.

We have to censor words regardless of context to prevent anti-evil from shutting us down. TRP proper is already a shell of what it used to be because of these changes. It pains me to watch a conversation that can only have one side because the other side is censored.

This isn't "easier" to use. It's ideologically incompatible with the red pill.

We're keeping trp proper on reddit as long as we can. But the writing is on the wall.

And, for lack of a better metaphor, anybody who doesn't see the truth on this one is.. taking the blue pill :)
