First field report on this subreddit.

Went to the bar after work to grab some food and a couple drinks, maybe see if there was any interesting girls to talk to. Sat down next to a Milf, figured she'd be an easy warmup conversation, turns out she just moved to the area and is single. Bar was pretty packed and a seat next to her was open, introduced myself saying "Figured I'd sit next to you instead of one of these other people who probably wouldn't talk to me." Talked about work and she mentioned she just moved to the area for work.

Asked her about random boring shit for a little, then started talking about the area and why she moved here. Turns out she has a kid, she asked me about the area (what is there to do, places to go for social life). She started to talk about her house and turns out she is pretty wealthy (has multiple properties).

Teased her a little bit about asking a young guy for advice on making friends in the area, light touch back and forth. My food had come at this point so I was going to leave, she asked me to stay said she would buy me another beer. Talked for another 30ish minutes, we both cashed out and went to leave. Gave her my phone number, told her I could show her around the area.

Figured this would be interesting to post. Been working on becoming comfortable talking to strangers again after a busy fall.
