Let's avoid the obvious questions that come from this and go straight to what you want.

I'd avoid doing something you can't afford just for a girl. They're supposed to add to your life, not take away from it. That said, you can do this without paying a dime. Meet somewhere near your place or hers. When you get there, make a quick point about how you feel more like, say, taking a walk in the park. Go from there.

You don't have to spend money to enjoy your time with a girl. Money helps with all things, but it should not be necessary. If it is, you need to find a different girl anyway.

I love this. If it were me, I'd go with: "Turns out I'm broke. Come to my place tonight for pizza and a movie instead." If you cannot afford to go dutch on the pizza, say it's on her. Just act like you have nothing to be ashamed of and irrationally confident and it should work out just fine. If she says no, who cares, right. At least you didn't spend any money.

Intelligent thing to do would be to arrive late after she's bought her coffee. Talk for a bit then get up and say I want to go for a walk. Don't explain yourself. Just do.

it's a good idea not to be broke. A coffee? Really? They're not that expensive. A giant extra large Tim Horton's coffee will set me back $2. You can't keep $2 handy for a coffee out?

I guess you can see if the girl will just cover you but man, it doesn't look good when you're that broke. Even skittles man actually coughed up the skittles.
