I wait till a day or two before I have free time to initiate contact. I've had success contacting a two week old match. I also don't bother getting a number until after I setup the date. Then 1 text to exchange numbers, and a confirmation text a couple hours before the meet.

I can not see how waiting would hurt you any. I almost never msg a chick the same day we match, I literally just do not have the time, and it seems to be working out fine for me.

pursue man, and don't neglect a day date. there is absolutely nothing wrong with meeting for coffee or going to the beach.

Full disclosure: I've been using Tinder just to learn how it works and to bolder my text game; I'm not actually meeting the women I match with.

I use a stock text to start things once we match. We have a back and forth of 2 or 3 texts each and then I say "lets take this off tinder, this is starting to feel like pen pals" or something to that effect. Ever single time they offer up their phone number at which point we start texting.

Let me be clear, you do NOT build attraction over text. I think this is an old pickup assertion that I've never found to be true. You use Tinder, facebook, OKC, etc to screen for physical appeal and the real "attraction building" occurs face to face.

letting the tinder match sit can be really effective. after establishing that you're witty and not afraid to push boundaries a little, just push to get a number or meet up (just have plans and tell a girl where you're going) and if they don't get back to you, let them sit for a week, hit them up again if you're interested, and if they don't respond to your second advance after being on ice, unmatch them and move on.

the fact that you have too many matches means you can try out aggressive approaches and it's no big deal when it backfires. go for it.

EDIT: i also advise on women you're not interested in, come up with a random aggressive thing to say "dude i am going to be hanging out a x place in an hour, join me for a tinder adventure. don't be boring" or "yo so i just bought compression socks... tight" or "you have nice lips" or "bitch your self esteem must be off the fucking hook" or "spit or swallow? or sparrow i guess" or whatever and hit several girls with it, and see how it goes. very eye-opening.
