I guess somewhere in between having an emotional affair with his first cousin (whom he later married) and abandoning his children, he forgot to cite her contributions. Einstein was a scrote of the highest order.

"Elsa Einstein (18 January 1876 β 20 December 1936) was the second wife and cousin of Albert Einstein. Their mothers were sisters, making them maternal first cousins, and further, their fathers were first cousins, making them paternal second cousins."
His own cousin. Primary cousin. Not even a distant cousin. I feel sick.

Misogynistic dudes always be loving to bring up how there have been so few great recognized notable women scientists/artists in the past when the reasons for that are so obvious that it almost makes me think that they're ignoring them in order to stick to their belief that women haven't contributed to society as much as men. Or maybe they really are just that dumb and stuck deep in their own delusions.
And of course, there HAVE been many great and intelligent women for all of human history but they have been forced to live in the shadows of men or couldn't pursue their dreams because of the oppression they faced. Women weren't afforded the luxury to higher education and instead were forced into being housewives and baby making machines, but this is something ignorant men don't acknowledge and instead stick to their beliefs that the reason why there have been so few recognized women masters is because us FeMaLeS are intellectualy inferior to men.

I just did a midterm project on Nina Simone. She should have been a classical pianist but being a black woman didn't afford her that. I'm bitter and resentful of the way she was treated due to the double whammy of being black and a woman.

My mom was going for her biology major, which her family heavily discouraged, and ended up dropping out to marry my dad and then a month later start having kids, which continued for almost two decades. As we all started leaving she kept talking about wanting to have a job but having no background, and what would she do if she was just a house mom but with no kids? She kept applying for little jobs with no resume, and was so proud of finally getting a small thing at a bookstore.
She always had an interest in biology and early childhood education and development. She may have had her own issues, and weβre not on good terms, but she was smart and capable (she managed an entire village of a family) and I always wonder what she would have been if she could have finished her education, started a career, and maybe only had a couple children instead of half a dozen. Her body was destroyed by so many pregnancies and she often dropped hints that she really wished she hadnβt started having kids so young and could have started her own life first.
My dadβs career went great though. But we donβt have to acknowledge how his achievements came on the back of her support, and that he couldnβt have worked and traveled as much as he did if he had had to take care of his army of children himself. We also added a shiny star to his resume, as he was the accomplished dignified man with all the well behaved children - trained by his wife because the only time I ever saw him he was sleeping or gardening alone.

Exactly!! This also happened with the artist that painted the "big eyes" artworks, Margaret Keane. Her husband Walter Keane passed them off as his own and for years and years everyone believed that he was the great artist behind the paintings. Fortunately the truth came out and if I recall, there was even a movie made about the whole situation. So at the end Margaret got the recognition and credit she rightfully deserved for her very own work... at least there's a rare happy ending to that story.

Wow. And the thing thatβs even more amazing about this is that ostensibly, Einstein should have been the more enlightened person of the two men. After all, he was working and living almost half a century later. I canβt believe that Pierre was so high value in the 1800s when misogyny was the air men breathed. Women had zero rights all around the world. But it just goes to show you vetting is worthwhile and thereβs no such thing as too high a standard. Iβm sure if Marie had verbalized that she wanted a man who took her intellect as seriously as his own and always supported her, she would have been laughed off of the earth. Thatβs still hard to find today, let alone in the 1800s. But she did. Keep your standards high, ladies. It is worth it and the right guy is out there.

Maric's voice had been taken away by then marriage, by the society, by the press at the time. I assume that while she was nurturing their 4 kids she would revise his "work". After they divorced, she received his nobel prize money... I wonder why? He went ahead and married his cousin. I guess you can't compete with incest, especially since their mothers were sisters. π€§

Moreover, the Curie family is really an example on how children will strive if they are nurtured properly. All of their daughters went on to become amazing ladies in their own rights, with the eldest (Irene) being awarded a Nobel Prize as well jointly with her husband.

Einstein was honestly a hero from the books i read about him as a kid. Before i realized that women weren't animals with 50% of men's intelligence (honestly i'm surprised i wasn't a flaming misogynist after what they taught in history and religion), i didn't find it strange that his wife was never mentioned to do anything besides just existing and cooking. A little bit later on i realized i relate to Einstein on a emotional level because we're probably both on the spectrum and he's known to be truthful about how bad he is with relations/other people. In the end he, even if he was a humorous and smart man, acted like a complete narcissist and lost his mind when his wife did something out of order and he always set himself first in terms of career. His first marriage was said to be loving and almost ideal but it was probably because she did exactly what he wanted. They were never credited for their actual work even though Einstein found it neccessary to have a wife as competent and smart as himself, something that otherwise smells like a HVM preference.
Moral of the story; a man can be seengly HV in every personal aspect and still be egoistic and will not hesitate to throw his partners or friends under the bus. His respect may be conditional and you have yet to find his boundaries.

Men still fucking steal our ideas. We're full steam now in the workforce and higher education, so scrotes have plenty to take from. They still boldly try to weasel their way into getting credit for OUR projects and accomplishments. They happily take praise for OUR work. They repeat what we said but with 3x the word salad and they're lauded as such incredible thinkers while we're thrown to the wayside.
This is part of why I fucking hate being around men generally, they have ALWAYS stolen the fruits of our labor and they're still constantly doing it in modern workplaces and schools. Even casual interactions, they can't seem to fkin help themselves! I've had so many conversations where I'm trying to talk and some stupid scrote is jumping in to repeat what I'm saying or speak over me. Like, just shut up lmao. I can't read these things without seething tbh. Not only we as women, but we as the human collective lose so much to low value, self-obsessed men. My heart mourns for all of the women who have been lost to men's recounting of history -- their brilliance reduced to little more than a foot note, their contributions to humanity's progress overshadowed by men's narcissism.
Ugh, reading things like this really puts into perspective and reinforces how important the principles of FDS are to the lives of women everywhere, through space and time. As others have mentioned, choosing and settling for the wrong man can derail not only your life and future, but it can literally alter the course of history as well. Keep high standards and never settle for anything less, period.

The reason so many men don't want to fight for women is exactly this; they lose nothing short-term by being passive but they legitimately have to for example threathen to NOT be honoured for their work if they take action.
The patriarchal system makes it hard to progress

Einstein actually made one of those lists that men make when they are unhappy with their marriage. Here's a copy paste of it:
"You will make sure: that my clothes and laundry are kept in good order; that I will receive my three meals regularly in my room; that my bedroom and study are kept neat, and especially that my desk is left for my use only.
B. You will renounce all personal relations with me insofar as they are not completely necessary for social reasons. Specifically, You will forego:
my sitting at home with you; my going out or travelling with you.
C. You will obey the following points in your relations with me:
you will not expect any intimacy from me, nor will you reproach me in any way; you will stop talking to me if I request it; you will leave my bedroom or study immediately without protest if I request it.
D. You will undertake not to belittle me in front of our children, either through words or behavior."
