Now that I have your attention.

As much as I hate to admit it, I believe men harbor a deep resentment toward women because we inherently control the supply of the one thing they want most. Mother nature basically programmed men to hate women by designing men to want women more than the reverse. And men subsequently spent the majority of human existence using violence, laws, forced social structures, emotional manipulation, physical dominance, you name it, trying to level that playing field.

This is why we get so bent out of shape by incels and TRPs I think, because deep down, we know at a base level they're not 100% wrong. They may fuck up A LOT of the details and can't get out of their own way, but their fundamental premise isn't that far off. Men want women more than women want men.

In the modern era, we'd like to believe that we've risen above our primal instincts. But if the manospehre is to be believed, the extent to which men have actually accepted this paradigm and live their lives accordingly depends on 1) how successful they are in attracting women and 2) how much they are capable of seeing people over biology. And perhaps they're steps -- you can't conquer number 2 without first conquering number 1.

Men will buck at this notion, because being called a misogynist feels like being called a rapist, or a wife beater or whatever. And they'll respond to this post by calling me an evil feminazi (of course how that would be different than any other day on PPD Im not sure, but I digress).

But I'm really hoping someone can come back with a good attempt at CMV. Because I'd really, really like to be wrong. I do not hate men. I enjoy men's company. I believe men's issues don't get enough attention. I do not see men as my adversaries nor am I of the mindset I am at war with men or need to be just to live my life. I just see more and more evidence of this uncomfortable truth each day (though it admittedly could be because I spend too much time here).

CMV. Please.

Edit: OK PPD, I love ya but I do have a life and have to stop responding now. Thanks for contributing and making this a lively thread. A few posters really did CMV. I'll try to summarize later when I get a chance.
