Nobody goes from broke to baller in a short amount of time unless they hit the lottery. That could be the actual lottery or otherwise getting lucky with a startup or youtube channel that makes a million dollars a year. Yeah, it happens, but it's exceptionally rare and TRP didn't really play into it.

Now I will say this, being prepared for when a big break happens is a part of the game. If luck shines on you, but you don't have your ducks in a row to capitalize on it, then you're going to regret missing your shot for the rest of our life. So ask yourself:

While I am not loaded, I do what I love (music/teaching) and I get paid handsomely while rarely working more than 5 hours per day. Also, I get a lot of free shit and great opportunities by being around rich people a lot. More free time is always sweet as well, because time is the most valuable asset.

It is really all about abundance mentally and carving out your niche. Not having to feed a family and not having to flash money around to get with women saves you a great deal of money.

Then, Once you get above a certain threshold, you can use money to save money or make even more. It allows you to make purchasing decision out of value given down the line, instead out of the need to fix a problem.

Example: I did a 4 weeks vacation in Vietnam. I booked the flight long in advance, so it was cheap. Rented out my apartment via air bnb. bought a motorbike in the country, so that was cheap as well. I stayed in a different (sometimes even luxury) hotel every day by booking last minute. I ate out 3 times a day and pretty much saw more of the country than most locals. I bought some bespoke suits that would have cost me hefty sums in Europe.

Bottomline: I saved about 300 bucks compared to my cost of living at home.

However, if I was only able to safe that money because I was able to make the initial investment of the flight.

I've always been good with computers and coding. I just sort of kept stacking one hustle on top of another.

When I was in my late teens/ early 20s, I started out buying junk computers bulk and rehabbing them for resale -- I skimped every nickel of my student loan refund, btw. Eventually I used the money from that to purchase good enough machines to handle coding and graphic design work and to purchase server space. Money from that was used to buy more advanced servers that I hosted in my house to handle bigger work, such as transactional accounts that required serious encryption.

Eventually I end up with a large collection of domain names through that and started selling those. That worked well, so I automated the buying process and started selling more.

That's about the time I got redpilled. I actually started bringing in enough money and had time that if I wanted to go party four days a week, I could. Overseas travel, too. Eventually, that led to some questions that needed answered because I had never been a club scene person due to being honkingly fucking broke. I'd say I started getting there TRP wise around 29 and hit my stride around 31.

Since then, I've also ventured into analytics and machine learning because why the hell not.

Rollo mentioned in one of the recent Rule Zero: Red Pill can't save everyone, especially those who can't even put their life together. They seems loaded because they are happy with their lives. or is on their way making their life great.

The red pill has a few levels of meaning, to some people it is just the disturbing truth that was buried under the new age, i.e. pleasing everyone and not focusing enough on themselves. Once they started doing that, replacing chasing for girls with creating contents like e-books and youtube videos,then things changed (read, replacing external validation for internal validation).

The result might be bad but the process is, somewhat of value especially to those deeply plugged in.

TD;DR Worked like a dog and built my own startup which I am selling now.

I started my own technology startup, made $0 for the first few years, grew the team, raised investment from venture capital and strategic partners, got listed on Forbes and now I'm going through an exit.

Before this, I was earning below six figures but saved and decided to make the jump whilst I was in my 20's. It took a lot of hard work, luck, and good timing, and in hindsight was probably one of the best worst decisions I've made. I've written about my startup in a previous post in more depth but it was a technology for OEM's that greatly reduced the supply chain costs of a consumer device, whilst generating additional revenue using a B2B SaaS model.

Compensation wise I'm in the $200k's, I know I can get more given I'll be working mostly in the Bay Area but I have a good work-life balance, I travel a lot with work and I'm on track for advancement unless I decide to maybe start another company. That said, even with an exit and a good salary, I live within my means, I don't drive an expensive car and live frugally, I travel using economy and don't have too many expensive toys. Money is really a means to an end, freedom, but you can do that without creating a business, in fact it's probably easier to track through corporate by working more than 80% of the folks which isn't hard as most leave at 5:05pm.

TRP much like anything else you strive for in life requires a level of effort and dedication, successful people aren't red pilled and being red pilled doesn't make you successful. People that are successful and well off typically have some level of either; luck, dedication, drive, knowledge or just a case of being in the correct social circle.

The red pill for the most part is meaningless however its all about what you take away from it and how you interpret it. Reading the bible every day won't change your life however depending on how you interpret each page and what you take away from it? It could very well inspire you to change your life.

At the end of the day it's about the drive and willingness you have deep down in yourself to make changes, it's still simple though, ask for a raise, look for a better job, get further education, book yourself on that course for that certification that makes you more qualified or whatever. You have to make the effort and start moving your life forward, no book, teaching or magic spell is going to do that for you.

I am someone you can an exception. Although my success is not something mind-blowing, but I have been working at a Fortune 70 company as a Software Engineer since I was 20.

I don't have a college degree, I chose to skip college and just study everything myself. It took me about a year to fill my resume with projects and relevant skills.

Job search was pretty hard, until I threw in some bullshit freelance experience on my resume and changed my immigrant name to a more American variant. To a certain degree it was the Red Pill that pushed me to really understand the game and gave me enough confidence to take action on it. If there are plenty of blue pills when it comes to relationships with women, same must hold true for other things in life, right?

Although I am not making 6 figures (close to, though), I am happy to have been able to avoid student debt I'd end up accruing, had I chose the traditional college path, and start working in the industry and saving money this early.

It has been pretty taxing on other areas of my life though. Initially because of a long commute, now because of working my ass off in preparation for a job switch. So not much social life outside of work and zero dating. Hope it's going to get better in the future.

You infer in one of your comments that you weren’t “privileged” due to poverty. While it’s true, the rich get to coast through things and are afforded more mistakes as they age, if you’re in America, jumping up socioeconomic classes is pretty easy as long as you work at it from a young age. Don’t have money for college? Then make sure your grades or good or use the military, or go to community college while you work. Don’t have any networking? Join clubs, groups, whatever via school or the internet. Don’t want to pay for a certain skill that you don’t need a degree for? There’s a million books and the whole internet out there where you can essentially learn the worlds knowledge for free.

But yes, being a platinum baller at 21 isn’t feasible for most and guys on a podcast are either the exception or putting up a character to drive their show.

I didn’t come from poverty but my parents didn’t have money for much and never guided me towards anything. Luckily high school sports are free and i made sure to always strive for good grades. Those two things alone (combined with getting a perfect score on one of those college tests, which took a ton of studying) opened up the door to choose literally whatever path i wanted. I chose a military college scholarship program (ROTC) and went to school for pennies on the dollar. I made some mistakes in college that delayed my career but even while i was unfucking that i decided to try out the service industry. All i had to do was work harder than every one else (easy since most are lazy), not steal as a bar tender and be somewhat social and i sky rocketed through the ranks. So even without my college degree and cool current military officer career just by working hard and not being an idiot i could’ve had a decent paying career somewhere else. This isn’t to humble brag, it’s to show that there are many paths and options to at least get you off the ground making enough money to have fun and be secure. Or save up to start a business if that’s your interest. Though i have no experience in that realm.

I've consulted for people with potential early in their businesses, millionaires, many deca-millionaires, and one Billionaire. The winners had the ability to focus and push their vision forward, their Frame, was the dominant one, when it was time to hit the gas pedal.

Sure, they listened to smart people around them, took in data and insight, but when it was time to decide, they did so and then they ACTED.

It's agnostic RP detached from poon. yet it translates well to the poon/attractive side of RP.

Now, there are plenty of high earners who are absolute BB/needy losers. So being financially successful is no guarantee of being RP'd.

But, I will say that if you are RP, you're a natural for being either a freelancer, bus.owner, or an employee who is strong in their footing for "abundance" and picking/choosing their employer ("I am not theirs, it's just their turn")

I think it’s the other way around.

I think people who are entrepreneurial focused from a young age are more attracted to red pill theories as they get older. I don’t think a lot of people first discover the red pill and then decide to become entrepreneurs.

I think a big portion of the red pill audience are high energy, driven people who come together to discuss ideas. I think only a small percentage of the people here who give advice were “losers” who then later became driven and successful. That’s how it seems to me.

I’ve been naturally entrepreneurial since age 12. I started lifting weights my sophomore year in high school, and I never gave that up. I had D1 scholarships lined up in two different sports as I finished high school. I’m 24 now, and I started my 6 figure marketing company in 2016. I first discovered red pill literature in 2017, and I fully swallowed the pill in late 2018. In early 2019, the red pill benefited me a lot with my recent breakup with my then-LTR. I only was interested in relationship dynamics back then. I’m not the kind of guy that needed a lot of the advice that the red pill offers, but once I started figuring out how everything worked together, my eyes were opened and everything made sense.

People gravitate towards information that applies to them. A lot of the red pill literature is focused towards people who already have their life together, which may be the reason why a ton of the people offering advice here may sometimes seem full of shit, because the people answering questions are disproportionately successful compared to the general population.

But also, some people are just full of shit. Tread lightly.

After I discovered TRP and got past the unplugging and anger, I was able to see the world clearly and understood that working hard to become successful would improve my life. 3 years ago I was making maybe 30k a year now I’m over 6 figures because I decided to work 3x as hard because I understand where this can land me in the future.

I also discovered financial independence and the FIRE movement which was more a kick in the ass tbh.

Besides having way more cash flow, I have to organize my time better and be very vigilant how I spend it. Working 70 hours a week I have never been in better shape and getting laid is child’s play.

I am 20 and have a business with two others, BUT... I have not earned a single pound. The business is focused around digital marketing, so we have the option to outsource too. I have mentioned it a few times on this sub actually

I started it around 12 months after starting TRP, but was lazy with it and so didn't really start any proper groundwork until Summer last year. All I did was make the business in August 2018 so at the moment not much.

Its only been the last 8 weeks we have been ready to go and earn some money by getting our first clients so at the moment it has done precisely nothing for me. Although, many people ask what I am doing in life and I say "Im working on a business bla bla" and they think I am making big bucks, some are passive aggressive about it and some I can see wish they were in my 'position' but really that position is a website and some drafted contracts. I have no clients. I have no leads.

I have a business but I don't have a business. TRP encouraged me to seek alternative means to income than a 9-5. Just slowly build value, believe me I am no fucking expert, but half of it was just opening it motivating myself.

I kind of feel like shit because there are 90 day courses from 0 to $10000 and I have been sort of working on it for nearly a year and a half without a penny to show for it. Probably about -150 actually.

Now, once you've improved your income, whether or not you become wealthy depends on how self disciplined you are in accruing assets and avoiding purchasing liabilities. Theres a large middle ground between "impoverished" and "wealthy" despite income stratification. Most americans are too stupid to know the difference between an asset and a liability, so when they improve their income they accrue liabilities that they think are assets, then they wonder why they see themselves as poor despite being nowhere near impoverished.
