Women HATE rejection. They can't deal with it in most cases so they lose. their. minds. Coming back to dump you is a very common MO to take the power back in their mind, even if they don't think of it in such logical terms.

Also, dread. Fear. Lots of negative emotions. Remember also that triggering emotions, good or bad to be honest, makes them massively attracted. Just ask guys who are going through a divorce or breakup, even ones the wives/gf initiated the split, how their soon to be ex's commonly get extra attentive and sexually available all the sudden. If they'd been behaving that wall all along odds are the damn breakup wouldn't be happening in the first place.

Now this isn't the case in every occurrence, but it happens often enough to be noteworthy. In cases where they already have another guy lined up then you may not get the sudden sexual access the relationshpi may have been missing, but there are other things that can occur. One thing I saw first hand is being taken care of by having stuff bought for me (think house supplies) like she wanted to make sure I'd be okay once she left me. Ooookay. Makes no sense, but it is something they often do.
