This may or may not be a great post here , but it really opened my eyes to the whole idea of "watch her actions, not words" concept I see here.

So after dinner last night I ran to the store and grabbed some powerball tickets for us ( hey its 1.5 billion) so we started talking about what we'd do if we won, Told her we'd have to setup a Blind Trust , as I'd prefer to stay out of the public eye after something like this. and invest the money after splurging a bit on a house and I'd like to get another muscle car like I had when we 1st met.

I could see the switch flip in her head , she all of a sudden was like " Bring home a GTO , and i'll be taking all that money and your stuff will be in the front yard" and then procedes to tell me how she would rather just claim the winnings herself , and would be able to manage the money with no one's help. at one point she said " I'd take that money and pay off your current car (Family SUV) , but you'd be keeping the same car , but I'd go get a GT-R for myself and a minivan to haul the kids around in

It seemed truly insane to me that anyone who isn't a professional Financial advisor would be able to handle the Burden that would come with that kind of windfall . I know I'd have to assemble a team of advisors . Watching her Hamster away how she didn't need anyone's help and I'd just blow it all on cars and stuff was truly amazing.

Lesson learned , beware the hamster...

In the end we won $4 dollars, I think she can handle that..
