Isn't stoicisim in a way just telling us to hold frame?

Currently reading meditations by Marcus Aurelius and many of the
things he is saying about how external indifferences cause no effect
to us, it's only our interpretation of them that cause us harm.

In a way this is the same as frame? Like we're told when a woman shit
tests us to agree and amplify and not to react to her. Like her
actions are an external indifference, we can't control them but we can
only control ourselves and remain unfazed.
