Is it possible to create or spark desire in others? 0 upvotes | May 28, 2020 | by KingGerbz ------------------------- In my short time on this earth I’ve come to learn that in order to help others they first have to want to help themselves. Mike O’Hearn can offer to train you for free five times a week but if you have no desire or ambition to become fit, it won’t matter. I believe one of my great purposes is to help and inspire others. There are many people in my life I wish to help, younger relatives, friends, even older siblings. Is there anything I can do to help others the desire to be better? Whether that’s in the gym or any other aspect in life? Is it a lost cause trying to recommend books to friends who couldn’t spend a second reading one page? I’ve made the mistake of trying to help people improve aspects of their life only for it to go to waste because they simply don’t give a shit. Sometimes it’s sad for me to see this because I really care about some of these people and want them to succeed and be happy, I want them to join me on my journey of becoming the best version of myself/ourselves. Am I wasting my time? Should I wait for people to actually show a desire and passion to win before trying to help them?
