Be honest to yourself, was it just an expression of your ego? You're now the guy you feared? What does that even mean? My point was that this family dynamic has the potential to be unfulfilling and detrimental to the wellbeing of the female in the long term. What sort of employable skills is a 40 year old housewive going to have? And any job she could find would most likely be highly unrewarding.
