No, it doesn't. You give children a pass because they don't know any better or even realize the consequences of their actions, they aren't expected to. Why the hell are people trying to justify this? Same reason people won't have sympathy for me if I deck a 250 lb dude that's ripped and get rocketed into another time zone because of it. There's few things that will send me into a blind rage to the point of killing someone. Watching a SO or child get brutally beaten, raped, etc. Being pushed once by an overweight teenage girl is not one of them. How are you going to tell me how I think? I don't do it simply out of principle. As a result I'm left with fulfilling things and jobs I like with people I like. If I ever feel like the deck is stacked against me for no reason I will just walk away. There are plenty of reasons I will play against a stacked deck. A higher up just choosing to stack it isn't a good reason. If I'm ever in a company where a boss is doing this it is a sign to look for new work.

I call eliminating a potential threat to yourself self-defense. I've seen way too many fights where someone feigns a surrender only to attack when the other person lets their guard down. Fuck that. I'll smack someone just for threatening harm to me so getting physical is an automatic retaliation. I don't care if they surrender and back off, I'm not giving the opportunity to do whatever they did a second time.

You don't get to assault someone and then back off and be protected. Just like you can't beat on a man over and over and when he gets up he comes at you while you tell him you don't want any trouble. Depends on the contract you sign when you move in. The law will protect you from extreme cases of abuse of power but if you signed a document that said landlords can come over unannounced between certain hours or even ever then it's legal for them to do so.
