As fun as it is to flip the genders and say "Listen and believe the men", taking gender out of the statement completely almost says more. "Listen and believe the accuser" is such a direct violation of everything a logical justice system should be founded on.

How about we have a real discussion instead of peddling tripe that just encourages the same hate that this sub should be standing against

Honestly if anyone wants to do this I promise I will staple it up there and update this comment with the picture.

I would like to clarify something: My girlfriend did not make this bulletin board. It is in the hallway on her floor. One of her RAs (Resident Assistants) is the most likely to have posted it. My girlfriend, her roommate, and our 2 female friends all hate it. Sorry for the confusion, my fault for the unclear title. Reposting for visibility

As far as I can tell, it was just the whim of a Tumblr warrior RA :/

The most I will give out in terms of location is somewhere in the midwest. :]

Do/did you work for a university? You sound experienced.

Ill admit the last one is more out of frustration with stupidity It's ok, my entire life is struggling not to lash out at stupidity.

It was most likely posted by the RA (Resident Assistant) who works for the school. The most I'll give out in terms of location is somewhere in the midwest. :]

I like how it says that becoming aware of privilege shouldn't be viewed as a burden or source of guilt, yet they try to make me feel guilty for being able to walk up/down stairs to find a bathroom. Exactly, they realize one of the infinite flaws in their argument but they can't even rationalize it lol.

Yes I did, if my girlfriend had posted that I would have broken up with her on the spot. I'm not going to deface it because, 1: I don't live there, and 2: that's what a modern feminist would do. I'm going to staple counter arguments on it. :]

I'm currently 100 miles away at my own university until Friday, but when I'm back up there I will absolutely make something happen. :]

Be careful, we're no better than the modern feminists if we spout uncited statistics like that. Here's what I could find: RAIIN says 66.66%. VC Arcive says 70%. Rape Treatment Center says 82%. We'll never know if these studies are legitimate, but that doesn't give us the right to make up our own numbers. Not trying to be a dick about it, just trying to help you if you get cornered with something like that. :]

I have an enormous amount of respect for you. Hey, my own cousin (female) was a field medic for a time. Many women are capable of serving in the armed forces, yet they are not required to. Inferring from the comment, I'm assuming /u/nickthemagicman was referring to females being exempt from the draft.

It wasn't in my girlfriend's room, it was in the hallway. Should have cleared that up earlier.

That's exactly what I said when I first saw it. It claims that it's not there to induce guilt, but there's literally no other outcome however you look at it.

Haven't they taught you yet? Criticizing women is offensive, criticizing men is a public service.

Believe me, I had to control myself all weekend. Had to walk by it every time I had to go to the bathroom. I wanted nothing more than to staple countering arguments all over it.

It goes beyond male rights, but I figured it was still applicable here.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
