in smaller communities it's helpful to have a devoted wife mingle with the wives of her husband's coworkers/bosses. so much can be achieved with that type of politics (often an activity that masculine individuals pride themselves on avoiding.) not sure wether it's an option for you.

there was a cool article I read a while back about asking for someone's pronouns. it was written by a very unique trans individual (perhaps original or reasonable would be more apt) who argued that asking for someone's identity (be it gender or other) is none of anyone's business. he argued it in itself was a form of discrimination. people usually volunteer their identity if it's one of the ones that has victim status, but in doing so can negate the very idea of that identity being a dangerous t…

that's high openness, usually higher in women. some guys are like that too, constantly talking to people. constantly asking questions, validating their choices, making sure they're in sync with the group. high compartmentalization/low openness is generally found more in men. keep things to themselves more. if you're masculine, try to appreciate the benefits of being with someone feminine. (as long as you're devoted) you'll pad out each other's social shortcomings :)

i had a small group of women I was sleeping with falsely accuse me, around the time those early hashtags were gaining popularity. I was in a couple papers and stuff! pretty annoying ordeal to go through, it's a good thing I was financially independent.

first aid and nutrition! masculinity generally describes compartmentalized individuals. they tent to have low risk and disgust aversion, which can get them into the kind of trouble a high risk and disgust aversion person can help with. (as long as they're devoted)

seeing all these "what next?" posts like surprisedpikachu.jpg but jokes aside, my favorite part of fighting regularly is hanging out with people I'm not getting punched by and reveling in that serene peace between two human beings. maybe you've gone as far in one direction as is helpful to enjoy the other side. give devotion (worthy) a shot

(do your best to) be a great man. a great man makes greater men. greater than himself. ones that will themselves go on to create greater men.

yeah the second one is from 2017. interesting to note that trend reversals have occurred in more open/liberal countries. it seems things like migrations of women into STEM can be spurred on by state propaganda but return to more "women work with people / men work with things" configurations when left alone.

in video games, RPGs in particular, there's a strategy called "MinMaxing." you invest all your points or whatever into one trait and forgo everything else (super strong but stupid and slow or super smart but slow and weak.) it tends to work really well when you're cooperating with other players that fill in the traits you're weak in. not so much when playing alone. I see masculinity and femininity as opposite sides of a spectrum that generally represents things like disgust aversion, risk tolera…

agreed :) the dream of the family has been taking a beating from the needs of an increasingly global, interchangable workforce culture. it says "presume you will be single for your whole life. relationships won't last. don't specialize in a family role." there is pressure for men to become more open/feminine and women to be more compartmentalized/masculine so that most employees are roughly the same. very different from looking forward to becoming a devoted partner and taking full responsibility…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
