Ye that's because it's mainly nonsense. They simply divided median wage of women by men and came to around 0.8, and it is not that simple. Maybe there is some things that are not fair, some employers may feel a man is more eligable for a promotion partly because he is a man, but it works both ways. That is true, when drafting during a war, the most able-bodied should be drafted first, not simply men of certain ages. In Ukraine, you can see 50 and 15 year olds being pulled out of their vehicles while fleeing and being drafted, while well-abled, adult women are let go. Dont think this is a huge problem, you can fake being sick anyways, i think the problem lies further ahead in time. Women get more payed days off -> women provide less to a company for the same wage -> employers will either have to lower women's wages knowing they will cost more, or simply stop hiring women -> 'wage gap' widens -> government steps in to close the wage gap by things like man-taxes.

The only reason this happens is because it works, and the only reason it works is because when a man is accused of such a thing, he is guilty untill proven innocent.
