self control is not lost due to being aroused...

The authors of the study point out that one method women use to get men to not wear condoms is "getting a man so sexually excited that he agreed to have sex without a condom" This is bias in a scientific article. They are interpreting the results in a way that perpetuates the myth that men cant control their sexual selves and women are conniving harlots. This is just shit science...

I am replying because I started a conversation and am fine with continuing it. I am happy to stand corrected. :) The feminists I know in academic circles think the pay gap for equal work is laughable. I thought they were representative of normal feminists or mainstream feminist thought. I still think OP is attacking weak straw man, when better targets are available.

oh god, that campaign ad! I forgot about that. I thought you were talking about his state of the union speech. Regardless, I think my point still stands. ""Women (are) paid x cents on the dollar for doing the same work as men." is a straw man and anyone that attacks it like this is what most feminsts are thinking is missing the point.

cents on the dollar for the same work When I google that all I see are people refuting the straw man, no one actually saying "for the same job" I am calling out people for attacking a straw man and patting themselves on the back.

He was referring to the wage gap as every reasonable person knows it. 77 cents on the dollar. I dont recall him talking about "for the same job" which is a bull shit straw man that no one really believes and is what I was calling out in my first response to OP.

I just don't see actual feminists doing that. I see it online sometimes, but usually it is just some moron that gets called out pretty quickly. I know plenty of feminists and all of them know this is a straw man. They can argue glass ceiling and that can be a fun debate, but the wage gap "for the same job" is a dead issue to every feminist I know.

The "wage gap" is not that women are paid less than men for the same job. I honestly don't know anyone that thinks that is true. When you say the wage gap is a myth because women earn 98% the same as men for the same job you are calling out a straw man. The wage gap is very real, and its causes are well laid out in the very article you cite. When people say wage gap they are talking about how women earn less than men on average.

"Ultimately, I chose to circumcise him because he is a member of a religious minority that has been persecuted for millennia and continues to be persecuted today, and I don't ever want him to forget that." meh. Religious nut job is a religious nut job. Not sure their gender has anything to do with this.

The article says she got a grant to restrict Lego access to girls only. A fucking grant.... "In keeping with a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education grant, Ms. Keller gave girls a designated time to play with the building toys during a 30-minute 'free-choice' time block in September 2015. This isolated, short-term practice ended in October..."
