| – | Why can't women just tell men when they're unattractive?I’m with you there. They can’t fathom that conventionally attractive women would spend their time here. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/05/26 10:12 PM |
women hate “choose better” because they dont like the responsibility of when their choices go bad. And it only applies to them.lol if it makes any sort of difference he got the majority of his tattoos after we got together. I also am heavily tattooed myself now ☺️ I respect that tattoos aren’t a lot of people’s jams but in my experience they don’t really determine much about a persons character or moral standing. It’s just an aesthetic that I personally prefer as a former emo kid | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/05/26 04:00 AM
women hate “choose better” because they dont like the responsibility of when their choices go bad. And it only applies to them.Yeah I actually agree with the core premise of OPs post, but I think choose better applies both ways (everyone should pick better in order to have better relationship outcomes). Especially I think guys typically have less options and therefore can be more prone to lowering their standards to be with someone who may not be the right person for them. I also often see that in this same sub people complain about women being ‘too’ picky and only dating the ‘top 5% of men’ or whatever. I do think it’s… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/05/26 10:56 PM
women hate “choose better” because they dont like the responsibility of when their choices go bad. And it only applies to them.I’m not really sure I have some kind of recipe for success beyond common sense stuff hahah. I think a lot of my success factors come down to who I chose NOT to date, rather than who I chose to date. I’ve turned down, at this point, hundreds upon hundreds of men? If it’s not a hard yes from me it’s pretty much a no. I realise I say this from a privileged place but if I had been less selective and not trusted my gut on certain guys I’m sure I would have had a much worse experience in relationships… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/05/26 10:36 PM
| – | women hate “choose better” because they dont like the responsibility of when their choices go bad. And it only applies to them.I try come onto these subs to give my perspective to balance the voices out as a woman who has had pretty much mostly positive experiences in dating and is in a very happy long term relationship. I’m always told I’m some kind of exception/outlier (which I’m skeptical of tbh) but also I think people online aren’t really interested in happy stories lol, it’s much easier to be negative. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/05/26 10:00 PM |
| – | Women Keep Bringing Up Rape to Shut Down Male ConcernsI probably should’ve been clearer in my original message - I’m becoming less sympathetic to men’s dating complaints in online incel-adjacent spaces. I have no resentment built up towards the men I know in real life because they don’t have this kind of defeatist victim complex I see online. I also am totally empathetic towards men who are struggling with dating or relationship issues but don’t have that blackpill/redpill mindset. However, I am starting to see this incel-adjacent mindset spreading… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/05/26 03:59 AM |
| – | After woman's so called 'hoe phase' in the end you are just the option she choose to settle down with right? This is the way lol. Me and my partner both ended our hoe phases to be with each other. We both didn’t want anything serious and somehow ended up falling really hard for each other and we’re still together 8 years later. Idk why people default to entering a serious relationship as ‘settling’ when that’s not always the case | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/04/26 08:32 AM |
Women Keep Bringing Up Rape to Shut Down Male ConcernsI feel you on this, the more I’m exposed to men’s attitudes towards women and dating online the less sympathetic I’m becoming. I genuinely used to try help them and offer guidance/a female perspective and they just lash out and attack me over it. The more I try to connect and understand their troubles the more I realise it’s often a victim complex rather than someone who genuinely wants to improve their situation. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/04/26 02:04 AM
Women have no idea what an average man isIn this case it would be measuring attractiveness (which I concede is a pretty subjective thing in and of itself) but as a general trend, you would have a very small proportion of the population on either end of the spectrum (grotesquely ugly <—> insanely beautiful) and the vast majority of people would sit in the middle of that spectrum. Hence average. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/04/26 01:01 AM
Women have no idea what an average man isThat’s literally how statistics work. The majority of a population would follow a standard deviation curve. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/04/26 12:57 AM
Women have no idea what an average man isFrom a biological perspective, average is suitable for reproduction, otherwise average looking people would die out and not breed. Walking around on the street you can see plenty of extremely average couples around, often with children. So that tells me that being average is genetically sufficient to reproduce ☺️ in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, roughly about 60-70% of the adult population has children so statistically speaking the average person is having enough success to at least reproduce. … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/04/26 12:54 AM
Women have no idea what an average man islol idk if this is targeted to me since you replied to me but I absolutely agree, average is not an insult and is reflective of the general population ☺️ I don’t understand why anyone would get upset about that but I have seen both men and women get upset at the word average being used as a descriptor like that. Even if you go to the rateme/amiugly subreddits the ratings are super skewed to be 6 or above for some reason. Idk why people have an aversion to being average, average is just normal. W… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/04/26 10:25 PM
Women have no idea what an average man isPurely statistically speaking, the average man and woman aren’t on dating apps. Only 34% of men and 27% of women have used dating apps/sites. Even of those who have used apps, in term of active users, 65-70% of men on apps are active but only 30-40% of women are. So the average woman is not one who is on or actively using a dating app ☺️ (and same with men according to the numbers apparently) | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/04/26 09:42 PM
Women have no idea what an average man isBased on what? Can you back that up? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/04/26 09:36 PM
Yes, some women actually want to be single and childlesslol my b for sharing my experience/perspective. When we say things that go against the majority we’re called outliers or liars lol, when we say things that apparently go with the majority we’re called NPCs 😇 | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/04/26 09:14 AM
Yes, some women actually want to be single and childlessAs a woman I completely agree with you. I got back together with my ex after we were broke up for a year and it was such a moral dilemma for me because I was incredibly happy single but also incredibly happy with him. Ultimately decided sharing my life with him was more rewarding and worthwhile but it did make me mourn my life being single. If our relationship was to end for whatever reason I doubt I would pursue another serious relationship again. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/04/26 02:18 AM
Some women or some feminists only say that MGTOW men should actually go their own way, because they think only losers are MGTOW.Definitely wouldn’t care if attractive men opted out of dating. Why would I want to be with someone who doesn’t want to be in a relationship? That doesn’t make any sense. Plenty of attractive men are in monogamous relationships and are therefore off the dating market. No one’s having a cry about them being off the market too. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/04/26 12:07 AM
Some women or some feminists only say that MGTOW men should actually go their own way, because they think only losers are MGTOW.Men opting out of dating is the same end result as them being in a relationship with someone else, and therefore not being available to date. If I was single and there weren’t any ‘good’ options to date, I would just quite happily remain single. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/26 11:37 PM
Some women or some feminists only say that MGTOW men should actually go their own way, because they think only losers are MGTOW.Nah I think everyone should be free to do what they want, regardless of how successful or attractive they are. If the dude is attractive and isn’t interested in pursuing women, all the more power to him. There’s no crisis there for me personally, it’s none of my business so it really doesn’t bother me either way 😇 | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/26 11:30 PM
Do you understand what men mean when men say that the risk is not worth the reward, in reference to women today, and approaching women, and being in relationships with women? As a woman, I’m fully supportive of men not actively pursuing women and prioritising their mental wellbeing and other aspects of their life. I don’t know which women you’re speaking to that think men don’t pursue because of being imitated by women. I think it’s pretty well understood that asking people out drains emotional energy, especially if rejected but also even the process of courting is a lot of effort. For the record the majority of my single female friends have also given up on dating, … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/04/26 11:10 PM
The courting process never ends for men. This 100%. Your partner should be doing things to enhance your life and make you happy, to show their love and care/appreciation towards you. This should apply regardless of gender. These gestures shouldn’t be transactional or expected. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/03/26 03:17 AM
Men are just as picky as women. They just pretend their type of woman is the norm.Yeah but my point is that even if less men were interested in them it wouldn’t make them any more likely to change their standards | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/03/26 06:05 AM
Men are just as picky as women. They just pretend their type of woman is the norm. Not sure if I agree with this. My chronically single friends are still picky and have opted to be celibate for multiple years rather than lower their standards or swipe on everybody. I have also seen women online say that they would rather be alone than change their dating preferences. A woman even just yesterday replied to me saying something along the lines of ‘If something happened to my husband I would not go back to dating, or I would date women only’ (she’s bi) - as a bi woman myself in a … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/03/26 09:49 PM
Women have no choice but to defend their own hypocrisy and here's whyI was going to say that this is the most violently American post ever. You go anywhere else in the world and tipping is appreciated but not expected. Heck in some places like Japan, tipping is even seen as offensive/unacceptable. As for OPs original point: within any large group, you will find varying or opposing beliefs. I don’t think it’s fair to call this hypocrisy/contradiction unless it’s exactly the same people saying all of these things. You’re making a strawman to argue against for the s… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/03/26 12:39 AM
Casual sex benifits men more than womenCan’t say I’ve personally ever had trouble filtering those types out myself, but I have grown up around/witnessed a lot of abusive relationships and what I have observed is that a lot of women don’t know what a healthy relationship dynamic looks like and have some deep traumas that can sometimes cause them to seek out those types of people. Also cultural factors sometimes play a role (I grew up in an Eastern European household where it’s pretty much the standard dynamic). | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/03/26 10:15 PM
If men were to focus more on women's personalities and character than looks, women would have alot less options.Quality over quantity 🤷♀️ | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/03/26 08:21 PM
If men were to focus more on women's personalities and character than looks, women would have alot less options.I agree with that 100% - I can’t say any ‘simp’-like behaviour ever led to me becoming interested in any of those guys. If anything it was pretty off-putting and was completely unwanted attention that made me uncomfortable and a lot of other women feel that way too. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/03/26 12:39 PM
Men can’t really claim to know “the truth” about female attractionLearning from failures is valid for sure, but that requires a change and improvement in success rate over time. Finding/attracting a partner initially and maintaining a successful long term relationship are also two different skills. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/03/26 12:36 PM
Men can’t really claim to know “the truth” about female attractionBeing an expert in something requires experience in that area. If someone has low success with women then they typically have less experience with women, and therefore cannot be an expert by definition. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/03/26 12:10 PM
If men were to focus more on women's personalities and character than looks, women would have alot less options.People like you are why I feel the need to be muted on VC in multiplayer games 🥴 | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/03/26 12:05 PM
If men were to focus more on women's personalities and character than looks, women would have alot less options.Men should quite frankly be more selective when it comes to compatibility. I think there would be a lot less failed relationships that way. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/03/26 11:58 AM
Men can’t really claim to know “the truth” about female attractionI find it funny how many people in these kinds of subs act like some kind of women experts when they have the least experience/success with women. Like what makes you qualified to understand or tell the women here what they are supposedly attracted to 😭😭 | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/03/26 11:50 AM
| – | Ladies, If you’re not attracted to 90-95% of men, that’s not a male problem.. thats a YOU problemDid I say all my friends prefer taller men? I have a very large social circle and there is a large spread of couples and single women in the dating scene. Sure a decent proportion prefer taller guys but there are some like me who don’t care. Generally speaking it’s my taller female friends who prefer a taller man (someone that matches their general height range or a bit above). But I know several short couples getting married this year alone. 🤷🏼♀️ And height is just one dimension of attraction. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/03/26 09:47 PM |
| – | Ladies, If you’re not attracted to 90-95% of men, that’s not a male problem.. thats a YOU problemUniversal is debatable. 😅 I’m 5’3 and I don’t particularly like tall men and would prefer to not date a tall guy if I can help it. There have been 2 times I have dated tall men and for one of them I had no idea he was as tall as he was (met off a dating app, had no idea about his height but he looked much shorter in his photos). In both situations I dated them for factors other than height and I kept thinking about how other women would probably like dating them more than me, someone who doesn’t… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/03/26 09:05 PM |
| – | Ladies, If you’re not attracted to 90-95% of men, that’s not a male problem.. thats a YOU problemI’m not sure it’s a me problem when I’ve had 0 issues finding a partner. There is no ‘problem’ at least for me personally. Also the narrow 5% of men I’m attracted to is completely different from the 5% my friends are attracted to, there’s a pretty decent spread of ‘types’ my friends are attracted to and they’re all pretty different with fairly minimal overlap. I’ve personally never had a problem with men not wanting to commit. I’ve never been cheated on. I’ve never been led on. I’ve never had to… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/03/26 07:49 PM |
How many of you have women in your life and would you ever tell them your views on women?I mean you say that but there are clearly women out here even just in this sub alone trying to better understand their experiences? I can’t say I have witnessed this kind of behaviour in real life either, so it’s not something I’m exposed to personally. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/03/26 04:56 AM
How many of you have women in your life and would you ever tell them your views on women? That makes me sad. For me personally if someone I considered a friend yelled at me for sharing my views, that would be the end of our friendship. It’s completely healthy to have differing viewpoint and disagree about things, it’s a whole other thing to be yelled at for that. I’m order for a friendship to work there needs to be a baseline level of respect. I don’t blame you for cutting them off, I would do the same in your position. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/03/26 03:27 AM
How many of you have women in your life and would you ever tell them your views on women? As a woman, I hope the yelling is hyperbole. I can’t say I would ever yell or berate someone for telling me their personal experiences, especially not a friend. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/03/26 08:23 PM
Asking women for advice does not work.This. I’m a bisexual woman who has dated both men and women. It’s funny how quick they are to dismiss perspectives from people like us, despite us A) probably having more experience dating women than they have B) knowing the perspective of dating as a woman | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/03/26 08:09 PM
Asking women for advice does not work. This is correct but I just want to call out that being friends and being friendly are not the same thing. So it’s important to be friendly when conversing and not immediately jumping into flirting, but that’s different from starting a whole friendship with an ulterior motive. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/03/26 08:00 PM
Asking women for advice does not work.Hello, woman on this sub here. I haven’t seen that advice be shared anywhere here personally. In my opinion it’s more important to be friendly than to become friends first. To the point of the other persons comment, it is a horrible feeling when you become good friends with someone and it turns out there were ulterior motives the whole time - not to mention the friendship typically ends as soon as it becomes clear to them there’s no chance of romantic prospects/hooking up. I’m at a point in my l… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/03/26 07:56 PM
Where do women want to be hit on?Personally speaking, I don’t want to be hit on at all, anywhere. My friends are different and want to be approached by men, everyone is different is what I’m getting at. Sorry not the answer you probably want to hear lol | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/12/25 10:17 PM
Women are extremely hypocritical when it comes to friendships with menHahah the hypocrisy is unreal in these kinds of threads right? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/12/25 10:52 PM
| -1 | Women are extremely hypocritical when it comes to friendships with menThere’s a difference between getting to know a guy before dating him and being friends with someone. Growing up I used to have mostly male friends, especially because my hobbies are quite male dominated. These are people I would tell my deepest secrets and vulnerabilities to. These are people I thought would be constant figures in my life. They all disappeared when I got a boyfriend. Or they would inevitably confess their love for me even when I was already in a relationship. I cannot convey how… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/12/25 10:48 PM |
Most women are not telling the full truth when it comes to the reasons they don't approach.Idk what to tell you man, I just want to be left alone hahah. I despise being cold approached so of course I’m not ever going to put some random person in a situation that could make them feel as uncomfortable as I feel when I am approached. I also have not ever, not once in my life, seen a random stranger while out and about and thought to myself that I would want to go out with them or start talking to them, no matter how hot they are. | 2 | Not wanting to date someone is not oppression10/10 would dye my hair those colours again | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/11/25 09:13 PM
Not wanting to date someone is not oppressionSometimes I will purposely make myself look ‘uglier’ when I leave the house to avoid any unwanted attention from men (by wearing unshapely/baggy clothing, no makeup, hair not done, generally fairly disheveled). That’s how much I want to be left alone. When I had brightly coloured unnatural hair, I was surprised at the amount of random men that would go out of their way to voice their displeasure to me about it. As if somehow it will make me suddenly care about what they think?? Quite often they … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/11/25 04:58 AM
Do you guys think most men are ugly/unattractive?Yes I probably find less than 10% of men physically attractive. That doesn’t mean that they’re necessarily ugly, but just not attractive to me (in the same way that someone’s grandma wouldn’t necessarily be ugly, but I wouldn’t want to bang her. Yknow?) A few caveats: I am bisexual, and also have a very specific aesthetic that I’m attracted to (tattooed, alternative). I’m also in a long term committed relationship so how attractive people are isn’t necessarily at the front of my mind either. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/11/25 01:14 AM
Are there any places on the internet you pretend to be a guy to get better advice or better treatment?Only place I’ve pretended to be a guy in is online multiplayer games and that’s so I would be left alone/not harassed. When I was single there have been times where I’ve been hanging out with my single friends (both guys and girls) and we’d swap phones to see what dating apps were like for the other person. And with my guy friends they did get significantly less matches. But I don’t think that counts as pretending to be a guy. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/11/25 06:19 AM
What do women like about going out on a date?I like spending time and making nice memories with the person I care about?? We both get to dress up and treat ourselves/each other to a nice night out. What’s not to like? If it’s a new person I’m dating it’s a way to do something fun and break the ice a bit in a neutral place. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/10/25 08:36 AM
Women are having bad experience in dating because of their own choicesThey’re so tunnel visioned on their own struggles they can’t comprehend that women get a ton of shit too. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/10/25 08:37 PM
Women: Why are you unable / unwilling to understand why most men consider "hookup/FWB material" more validating than "husband material" given that you put the FWB/hookup guys in a way more exclusive, privileged, elite club?Fair enough! Appreciate you checking in on my consistency and moral standing :) I also know that my response is not reflective of all women, and that seeing escorts would be a deal breaker for some for sure. I appreciate that not everyone is as open minded and sexually liberal as me. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/09/25 07:24 AM
Women: Why are you unable / unwilling to understand why most men consider "hookup/FWB material" more validating than "husband material" given that you put the FWB/hookup guys in a way more exclusive, privileged, elite club?No issues. As long as he went about it in an ethical and responsible way (clear of STDs etc) I don’t really care, that is in their past and not something that I would judge someone for. It would be a different story if he was actively seeing escorts while in a relationship or something like that. | 4 | Why must girls nights and / or girls trips (ie excluding and disconnected from your partner) include places that are known for flirting, hooking up, etc? They absolutely aren’t?? At least never in my experience. It’s often sleepovers with face masks, snacks and movies or being out at the beach or shopping or whatever. And even though I had casual encounters the total number of people I’ve slept with is not even in the double digits because I have spent a total of ~13 years of my life in serious relationships (as an almost 30 year old) and have only been single for maybe 6 months between each relationship, along with being… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/09/25 09:48 PM
Women: Why are you unable / unwilling to understand why most men consider "hookup/FWB material" more validating than "husband material" given that you put the FWB/hookup guys in a way more exclusive, privileged, elite club?No also wrong. This is me and my personal circumstances. I am not averse to casual and serious dynamics in a relationship depending on the circumstances. I know plenty of other women who have never hooked up with anyone ever and never will. I also know plenty of women who have never had a serious relationship and have only done casual. Women are not a monolith. :) | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/09/25 09:43 PM
| -1 | Women: Why are you unable / unwilling to understand why most men consider "hookup/FWB material" more validating than "husband material" given that you put the FWB/hookup guys in a way more exclusive, privileged, elite club? This!! | 28 | Women are just as creepy as men they just get away with it.I’m a bisexual woman and more often than not it’s women who push my boundaries and make me uncomfortable more than men, especially ones who are conventionally attractive. I assume because they feel like an exception to the rule and can get away with predatory behaviour because they’re hot 🙄 I’ve had a girl trap me in the stairwell of my uni dorm trying to convince me to cheat on my bf at the time with her. Another girl at a party asked my (different) bf for permission to make out with me when I … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/09/25 09:36 AM |
Why are men here surprised that women give attention to men they like? These people love thinking in absolute extremes and can’t fathom that normal people do normal things and that it’s not all about chads and Stacey’s or whatever | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/09/25 08:25 PM
Why are men here surprised that women give attention to men they like?I don’t know how true this is. I personally don’t feel like I have any ‘jackass’ ex’s. What is more likely is that after you stop dating someone you see them in a different light or perspective compared to when you were dating them. Doesn’t mean that they are actively seeking out assholes. It’s like how most men say that they have a “crazy” ex too. It’s not like they’re seeking out crazy girls. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/09/25 08:21 PM
Why it's controversial when a man says "women are attracted to a small percentage of men" when women themselves agree with this statement in their spaces ?Speaking as a woman also, it’s pretty much a shared universal experience if one of our friends start dating a new guy and show us a picture of them, having the reaction of “he’s not my cup of tea but you do you girl, as long as you’re happy!”. The vast majority of the guys my friends have dated aren’t attractive to me, but similarly the vast majority of guys I’ve dated my friends would not go for either. Everyone has different tastes and things that they find appealing to them. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/08/25 09:43 AM
How much interest and attention do you think the average woman receives? This has been my experience to be honest and it is exhausting and sometimes I just wish I was invisible because life would just be a lot easier that way. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/07/25 01:14 PM
Men are angry about the current dating dynamics because they don't want to feel cucked.LOL wow I didn’t read the post properly - being triggered by someone having two past hookups is crazy 😮💨 | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/07/25 07:43 PM
Men are angry about the current dating dynamics because they don't want to feel cucked. This is such a wild take hahah wtf. I can’t say I’ve ever ran into this issue with the men that I’ve dated. I haven’t been with heaps of people or anything like that but all of the people that I have been in serious relationships with started out casually and then gradually evolved into something serious, so they did experience that ‘feral attraction’ hookup side first lol. I don’t think I’d ever pursue a serious relationship with someone without understanding whether we were sexually compatible… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/07/25 07:38 PM
