I was a virgin. Not saying it was easy. But I have no regrets about waiting until marriage.

Ah yes. The typical I want a jock for a youth pastor. I’ve seen lots of jocks come and go in youth ministry because that’s all they have to offer. The qualifications for leadership don’t include athletic. Maybe if more churches hired men who were able to teach 50% of our youth wouldn’t be leaving the church. My issues in youth ministry have to do with the need to submit to unhealthy leaders and an abuse of trust by a volunteer. It’s the politics of church, not the discipleship of teenagers. Woul…

Yeah, I think your one liner is the way to go for most people. The wife probably appreciates a little bit more knowledge as I determine what kind of church I want to be a part of. My church is doing okay. Lots of staff leaving, but no one fired. In the reorg I seem to be secure and in line for a raise. Grateful. I know it's rough for a lot of people.

Mission is for me. I’d communicate it differently to her. Basically working to developing a mission statement that can carry beyond a specific place of employment or job title.

Yep. 35% is fat. Working on the weight loss/working out. Not a part of my mission. Red Pill is a framework, not my call beyond incorporating the principles into discipleship efforts. Open to be challenged on this.

Thanks u/rocknrollchuck. Moved the post to the main sub before I saw you responded. Seemed more appropriate there. Appreciate the feedback. Will work on the character aspect.

OYS 3 - Stats: Age: 36; Height: 5’10; Weight: 222; BF: ~35%. Measuring Tape Went Missing. Married 6 years; 2 kids under 3 years old. Two weeks since my last OYS. I'm not as familiar with RP Theory as I thought. I am studying the sidebar and putting into practice what I know to do. Writing this all out on a regular basis is forcing me to look at how foolish I have been in wasting the life God gave me. Work/Ministry 9/10 My role expanded in July, and again this week. Working to lead well and sta…

Dude, I’m sitting here with a “full plate” and letting things fall apart until I can get to them... thinking I’m doing okay. I’m not. You’re handling so much more and knocking it out of the park. God forbid I face the amount you have recently, but if I do I want to be ready for it they way you are. I’m just at the beginning of my RP journey, and will be following you, praying for your son and family, and learning.

OYS 2 - Last OYS was only 4 days ago, but I want to match the rhythm of this reoccurring post. Stats: Age: 36; Wife: 29, Height: 5’10; Weight: 224; BF: 35%. Married 6 years; 2 young kids. SPIRITUAL 6.5/10 Assurance of Salvation - 4/4 Quiet Time: 3/4 - More consistent with my Bible reading plan: 7 different books of the Bible - 1 chapter each. A modified Prof. Horner plan (10 books.) Bible Study: 4/4 - I finish seminary this week. I am preparing to preach this week and the following. I'm counti…

OYS 1 Stats: Age: 36; Height: 5’10; Weight: 223; BF: 34%. Married 6 years; 2 young kids. Spiritual 6/10 Assurance of Salvation - 7/7 Quiet Time: 3/7 I’m a Seminarian and Minister and am guilty of turning my seminary work and message prep into my devotion. Doesn’t count. Bible Study: 5/7 I finish seminary in a couple of weeks. But for now, I’m counting it as a part of this. Studying eschatology right now. Lots of interesting perspectives that are producing hope. My point is that in putting us first, he's harming us and taking away economic prosperity. We need our trading partners. America is never going to have significant manufacturing jobs as long as we're allowed to exploit cheap labor in other nations. We should stop pretending like manufacturing is something that will have in mass in the US, and that means we need to accept trading deficits.

First. America is not the Kingdom of Israel. It’s an unfair comparison. Second, the realities of the world were very different then. Our economy is dependent on trade and relationships. Talk to farmers about the impact of the tariff war with China.
