I talk with this girl and she was cute, and she was my friend, I thought she was showing signs, so after a while of contemplating, I asked her in a note if she'd be my girlfriend. I was rejected rip BUT now for your question, does this make things awkward as friends of she rejects? Nope, as long as you don't talk about it, you would go back to normal friends.
