To me, a dumbo, relationship count is much more important. You've slept with 20 guys in the past year but want a commited relationship with me? Sure, but it's going to be monogamous and maybe I'd even want an STD test. But you've had 6 boyfriends in the past year? Well clearly there's something more serious going on with you, if you've gotten with and broken up with 6 people.

You make a good point, but those are normally personal stories. I hoped that this would be more about the subject as a whole, what can be done, etc. And you're right, there is less of an area for men to talk about depression at least from what I know. But maybe this could be a place for that. I honestly have the best of intentions, not sure why a fair few people are reacting the way they are. Apologies if I was a bit passive aggressive in my previous comment.

Pretty accurate yeah. Only been observing for 2 weeks and there are some wild takes that I would have expected in FDS or 4chan.

The community describes itself as a place to discuss sex and gender issues. You know, like the shit I mentioned in my comment.

Basically when you and your partner live a long distance away from each other that means you can't meet up regularly. Could be a few hours, could be another continent.

It very much does seem like terminally online people, which is weird because I consider myself to be online quite a bit. But seriously, was expecting stuff about how to get women into STEM, what the cause of the decrease of men's education is, how to help women in the workplace, how to get men to be more open with both men and women, and just general try to fix the fractures that exist. But it seems like this sub mostly increases the fractures, but not always, and that's why I stick around. And …

Yes, in a long distance relationship. No. Honestly this whole sub is extremely wild, I thought we'd be talking about male depression and what men can do to help lower female SA and how to be a better partner. All I see is just the wildest takes with a grain of truth. Maybe I'm just uneducated though.

I don't think 'Just be yourself' should be taken literally. What it should be is 'Be true to who you are aka. don't lie about your hobbies, your job, interests, fears, future in order to seem more attractive. It'll just hurt you after a while even if you do get the girl and it'll hurt her when she realises you aren't the person she thought you were'. Yeah it sucks, ngl, and that doesn't give you a free pass to be yourself if that means that you're rude, lazy, cruel or other things. But you shoul…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
