I like the version of the quote from Van Wilder: "Don't take life too seriously, you'll never get out alive."

Good job man! Great to hear you rolling with the rejection as well. Keep it up!

Just wanted to say thanks again. Went out Monday night after work for some drinks and approached a few different sets. Felt great to be the life of the party (divey bar, people there to watch MNF and baseball). Definitely going to get out there this weekend and try some more!

I literally just read this book cover to cover in the last four hours. I now feel like i ruined my marriage by being like this. My wife said she wanted a divorce two weeks ago and immediatley started a relationship with someone else. I'm now convinced that if we could have communicated better I could have realized my issues and fixed it. Now, I'm going to focus on myself. I'm going to ffully embrace the words on those pages and live for me. Thank you for showing me this glorious book. I definite…

I would love up just charge back out there...but my biggest obstacle is I have my kids 50% of the time and am working the other half! No worries though...I have already met a ton of people and used some of these techniques to build my confidence in my field (real estate). Thanks for the advice and ill do my best!

It's no question of should I jump back into being more social, it's a question if I should wait until I get back into a more normal frame of mind. It was an odd marriage in that I distanced myself from alot of friends. I worked alot, and felt staying home with my kids was more important than spending some time on myself. Even as I type this I realize you're right. I now have set times to spend with my kids and should probably get out and do ME when I don't. Thanks!

My wife just left me a couple weeks ago. I don't feel like I'm ready to get back into the game, but want to prepare myself for when I am. Should I get back into approaching and such even if I have no intentions of anything other than practicing?

What if someone has the exact-reverse-opposite problem? Such as a major lack of standards? I'm not quite back in the game yet after a recent split with my wife, but I'm afraid that when I DO jump back in I'm going to have little to no standards (I.E. just wanting the validation of the attention, physical contact, etc...) ((wow...that was hard to type...I think I may need to just take some time...))

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
