Yeah but really, I think discipline can be created (or negated) just by the way you approach things. It's one part of cognitive behavioural therapy (I think).

Yeah but it's nog that easy. You have to actually get yourself that far. Whether it's by putting up with it, learning to get off on the uncomfort or finding some way to make yourself feel like doing it anyway. The best way I know to do this is through small steps. Creating a small schedule. And sticking to it. It might be something insignificant like a cold shower in the morning or contributing to a bigger goal like reading one hour a day. But you have to keep at it. And then, keep expanding. No…

Do you mean something like: "Nice shirt, too bad it doesn't match your eyes" with the neg-compliments?

I think it's much less. Breaking bad habits and changing takes hard work and perseverance. It's similar to approach anxiety, most people simply can't break past that wall and get the ball rolling. I think it's because people are naturally pragmatic, if something works then why change? But it works the other way round as well. If you change then others will accept that, "friend zone" or no friend zone.

Yeah but in all honesty, how many people actually manage to change?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
