Do enough real work in science and technology (not "yes sir" BS projects) and realize that large amounts of data =/= knowledge and that most people are out for their careers more than the higher ideal of science, and you'll stop looking at the establishment with such rose colored glasses - which is a mark of youth.

I'm a physicist No you're a nerdy kid that wants to fit in. And you'll either learn to think for yourself and stop quoting your idols that are falling sway to large political movements or not. But hey, you talk to "Phds pretty much everyday", so you win.

When you're older you'll figure out how to think for yourself even more, and you'll realize the the limitations of, not science, but scientists. You should work with them, you'll learn a lot. They're just people, and self interests and hot topics are big. I haven't said that global warming isn't happening. All I've done is express a large amount of skepticism as to the methodologies, weightings and certainties involved, given my experience working in very similar fields. Whose the religious pers…

It's like talking to someone who really, really believes in Jesus because the priests told them so. The priests are experts, who are you to question? I've worked with FEA computer models extensively and I'd question the validity of the arguments that they are making with such a complex system. They don't tend to question much, they just tend to make incremental tweaks on existing models so shit matches. Men's rights seems the same way to feminists as I apparently do to you. "How dare you questio…

I don't have as much time as you, and I've obviously hit a "need to believe" topic for you, but basically you just threw out a lot of "see we all agree!" It is not an appeal to authority when referencing actual authorities on a topic Yes, it still is an appeal to authority because you are referencing people whose careers depend upon towing the line. It's a lot easier to get 1M for your incremental tweaking of computer models to try and match the data when you say the world might end. Some though…

When you are basing your opinion solely on the basis of what "the authorities think" it an appeal to authority. "But science! Experts!" does not make your argument better.

(98%) of climate scientists agree Appeals to authority are also something that feminists and rabid lefty environmentalists do a lot. Whether or not a bunch of people agree on something that brings in money for them (esp when they are trying to model something astoundingly complex) does not mean the issue is "settled".

I looked after a child that wasn't my own from 6 months when I "saved" her mother from an abusive relationship. 6 months to 6 years. I spent more time with her than her mother did in that span. I dealt with all the poop. Funny thing is her mother is now a lawyer, which is I guess suits her. Point is that no, I went full out. Wasn't my kid, but by the end it was more my kid than it was hers, given how she acted. And I learned a lot about people.

That's cool. I am willing to bet that your husband agreed with you and all of the other women you know that commiserated with you when you complained how difficult raising kids was because he wanted to get laid sometime in that decade. Women complain, men nod and agree. No sense of scale on difficulty ever intrudes.

Yeah honestly it's pretty easy. With dishwashers and other modern amenities the work is pretty minimal. And most women have no idea what their men do because those men don't pat themselves on the back this much. Women complain because they are allowed to and men listen because that's what they think will get them sex.

Give me the stresses of that anyday over watching small children I've done both as well, so I'll bother to comment. My only guess is that you are one of those people in a large organization who has minimal technical skills and who is either heavily connected or a woman, so they promote you to "manage stuff" to get you out of the way. I've seen it, and those are the only people who think their managerial work doesn't have many stresses. Because they are working management like management gets wor…

Looking after a small child is more stressful than leadership in business. Oh god. Do you actually believe that? Literally the ONLY thing you have to do is make sure they don't die and the rest involves, as Bill burr said "bending at the waist to put dvds into DVD trays" in your pajamas at noon half the freaking time. Most of the ugly women I know have orbiters one or two rungs up the looks ladder. They are just holding out for a better deal if they aren't getting any. I suspect that, like most women, they want a top 20% guy, even though they themselves are in the bottom 20%.

There's a huge drop off of likelihood of staying married from 0 partner before you to 1. aaaaand it continues to drop as the number of partners go up. Plus, where do you think religion came from? Men wanted to spread their seed wide and women wanted to jump from branch to branch trying to climb the hypergamy ladder like chimps do (heck with bonobos 60-80 of the offspring are sired by the top 20% of males because even though they fuck all the guys they stick to certain guys during estrus). The difference is that women's emotions are interpreted as "strong" and "wise" and "something that men need to understand and listen to" and "grounded" -- when really, most of the time they are following and back rationalizing what makes their pussy tingle. Men's emotions (such as the "anger phase" when they realize that women have been dicking them around) are something that they own up to. Even if they want to follow their dick in the end, we don't pretend it's something else.

The chemically impaired, sure, drunk people. But here's the thing, women in their sexual reproductive prime 16-25, get raped a lot more often than older women not in their sexual prime. Even feminist "rape can happen to anyone at any time" sites acknowledge this. Wouldn't be surprised if attractive and social young women who act in risky ways with drugs and alcohol fall prey to this the most often. Predators look for that. But of course that study will never happen because it's un-PC.

I don't know. You want to believe it's all subjective. That's cool. Ugly people will continue to settle down with other uglies, women will continue to prioritize wealth and status and men will continue to prioritize looks. I guess it's like the earth being round. It will continue to be that way even if you don't believe it.

My bad, i meant your first paragraph, as the initial paragraph was not "yours" but was a quote. I don't "know you" but I'd bet that you are generally nice and are concerned with issues to do with fairness, justice and inclusivity. The issue is that what you say about sexual attractivness in humans being entirely subjective is not backed by any evidence that either one of us could find. Rather, everything says the opposite. But you will continue to hold your opinion. Hence, double think.

Your second sentence in your second paragraph contridicts itself and I suppose belies the double think that gets you through this while maintaining the beliefs that you feel better about.

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/sciencefair/post/2009/10/68500656/1#.VLO8dIGDTqA While the number of factors that go into attraction can be diverse and play off of it other (mostly because of how we rate ourselves and what we think we can get) it doesn't mean the themes and overall crux of the matter isn't pretty consistent. Literally every study on the planet ever done on the topic shows that desirable traits are not all subjective, for instance: http://www.businessinsider.com/attractive-people-are-more-successful-2012-9 Curious, how do you come to these conclusions when all of reality points to the opposite?

Gonna call bullshit. Fit, symmetrically featured, well off and popular without being shallow are attractive to most people. Your options given what you think you can get may cause you to fetishize something slightly off in one or two of these, but there are common patterns in attraction for the vast majority of men and women.

Great Analysis. this is why feminists are so outraged by George Will's article. He's showing their outrage for what it really is. They're not concerned about rape, they're concerned about power. They want to control the sexual capital, so they invent their own statistics, they create this broad, generalized crime of "sexual assault." They redefine the tools and precedents for adjudicating and prosecution accusations of criminal conduct; they lower the standards of doubt and due process, and they…

Good for you man! It is an ego boost when you look good. If you've put in the effort, you should feel great and recommit to your goals as you you are doing here. Got a question for you, or any other guy out there: how do you deal with eating? I like lifting, I enjoy going to the gym. I keep it up when I get going. If people are doing it for a kick on the pain of others, I'll give you that. However, if they are just stating some cold, hard truths to the person, I would see it as just that. Sometimes shit we don't want to hear can feel like "torment". Anyways, do you have an example or two? Curious.
/r/TheRedPill21/06/14 10:11 PM

There is nothing alpha about tormenting a lonely woman. No. But it is a little funny to see how shocked they are when their SMV drops like a rock. And frankly, I haven't seen anyone "tormenting" them. If it bothers some people when posts like that get used as an example, it's because on some level they know it's true and it bothers them.

Wait until you get older, you'll figure it out. Part of why you are studying red pill shit is so that you avoid many of the mistakes of older guys on this sub. Part of why you should be interested in men's rights is so you can keep tabs on how close feminists are to getting laws past where sexual regret becomes rape. Or so you can see where the economy is going for men and be aware of it.

Plate theory reminds me of a lot of Buddhist concepts. I really think it is that deep. You wake up one day and you realize that girls you would have crawled over your own mother for and died on your own sword for are just silly things when you can have them. And you got there by not clasping onto things. And you get to decide, once you have them, whether it's worth keeping them.
