I'm sorry but there are just so many red flags here, it looks like a Soviet parade back in my old country. I'm not going to repeat everything that's already been mentioned, but I'll say this: any issues that you are already apprehensive about, before even getting married, will almost certainly grow into huge issues. Picture yourself a few years down the road, tied to this man forever because of your children, saying to yourself "I knew this was going to happen! Why didn't I listen to my gut?!"

Lol! That's important too, to see who's out there!

Me! Do you have a question or is this just a roll call? 😆

Not just you, believe me. Not to mention they will downvote you or even ban you for expressing any opinion that is in the slightest nonconforming to them, no matter how politely you express it.

OP, u/sushi_30 had given you fantastic advice here, and it doesn't seem to be appreciated by this community at the moment. Please think hard about this. In another comment, someone suggested you clean for him or do his laundry. That is the LAST thing you should be doing! You would only be demonstrating your value as a cleaning person. Again, that's something he can easily hire someone to do, in order to take care of a dirty house or laundry, AND have more time to spend with you. You should not b…

Finally some great advice in this thread! I hope OP sees the value in what you're saying.

No, keep some dignity! He doesn't care!

Agreed! I'm also finding that most times dresses are way more comfortable than jeans, especially skinny jeans. Nothing cutting into my squishy parts, or that awful behind the knee jam if you ever have to squat down, no worries about gaping at the lower back.

One of the things that helped me, was literally just wearing dresses every day. Prior to that, I did not dress feminine, in fact I was very against it. I am so embarrassed now to think back to the stuff I wore (boxers showing from cargo shorts, etc). It forces you to move in a more feminine way, for example sitting or bending down in a different way, which over time softened my movements, which softened me overall. I also immediately noticed people treating or just looking at me differently, whi…

I think that if your partner isn't attracted to you, deep down you know. You may try to rationalize it or find other explanations for each particular time/instance/interaction... but at the end of the day you know. I've been there. I knew. I didn't want to admit it, but I knew. I wanted to blame it on him having a bad day, or any other external factors, but I knew.

You don't! Move on. If he wanted to be with you, he would be. If he realizes later he wants to be with you, he will come back and ask you to to take him back. Take it from someone who has made many mistakes over the years and actually learned from them: YOU CAN'T MAKE SOMEONE WANT TO BE WITH YOU IF THEY DON'T. You can be the most perfect woman, doing all the right things, but you can't make someone want to be with you.

If he has a problem with stretch marks, he is not a high value man! Simple as that.

OP mentioned creepy racist undertones. I shared one experience I had. I didn't make any generalizations. I didn't make any statements about "all". What's the problem here?

I don't think your comment is applies here.

So far the comments seem to just be glossing over the whole slightly creepy racist overtones mentioned by OP. I think that's a huge red flag and would be reason enough to turn someone down. I worked with a very red pilled traditional guy who sounds very similar to the guy in this post, however as time went on, and he got more comfortable around me, the racist/European heritage/viking pride thing became hour long rants about white supremacy. It was disgusting. I'm so glad I don't work there anymo…

According to a realtor I know, "pewter gray" became the hot trendy color to paint your walls about 2-3 years ago. I don't know what's worse, that, or "builders beige" here in Florida. We've spent the last 2 years eliminating beige from the house we bought. Walls, carpets, tile... so much beige....

Guess what! A man will come along who doesn't care how your boobs look! There is more to you than boobs! And more than your body. Reading what you wrote makes me so sad. Now, again, A MAN WILL COME ALONG WHO DOESN'T CARE HOW YOUR BOOBS LOOK, someone who cares about your personality, brains, and a million other possible things.

Girl, you gotta throw that man away! Just put him out by the dumpsters, someone more desperate wil pick him up. Has it crossed your mind that you're too good for him? That he's now feeling insecure because you're looking hot and he might actually lose you to someone who treats you like a queen? I'm willing to bet anything that this is not the only issue in your relationship. Dig deep and analyze if this is just one symptom of a dysfunctional relationship.

Sounds like immaturity to me. He wants to have the cake and eat it too. I would make it clear to him that he can't have it both ways, and the answer is still no. Even if he tells you now that he's ready for something serious, I don't think he would be a reliable partner. Just my 2 cents from the information given here.

I know everyone's experience is different, but getting a taste of freedom and independence is crucial to spreading your wings and becoming your own person! The situation you're in may not be ideal, but it may make you see what you want your life /home/ future to be! Best of luck!

Not much detail here to go off (do you live together, how long, what specifically are the problems), but I would say, whatever you do, don't engage into arguing and fighting. It leads to nowhere and just makes you look bad. Remain calm at all times, state your case if need be. Don't ask him for anything, you don't need him anymore. And very importantly don't try to stay friends!

I've been heavily inspired by @mango_manor and @candycoloredhome . I know that style is not for everyone but we live in Florida and I love making our house look like a happy beachy place.

Absolutely! You've taken away anything special about it. Put some clothes on, girl. You don't have to get all dolled up, just put on cute comfortable clothes at home. After a while (may be a while at this point!) he will get excited to get a glimpse of your body, since it's not always in his face.

Hey girl... I went through a lot of depression during college and a few years after. For me things slowly got better as I learned to take better care of myself, which I believe is part of RP philosophy. On and off meds for years, sometimes feeling like I want to scream "I don't want to take these pills for the rest of my life!!!" and other times thinking I should really get back on them. The bad news is, you will probably have this battle for the rest of your life. The good news is 2-part! It IS…

I hear you and I understand! I definitely went through that too. There are many different ways to lose weight and get healthy. You can tell from the variety of comments that there are different things that may or may not work for individual people. I think it's smart that you recognize that the mental aspect is crucial. It's not the same for everyone either. But I believe that positive reinforcement works better than negative. To me negative reinforcement means punishing yourself by restrictive …

I see you're getting a lot of advice on specific strategies, but I understand your question was about mentality. Whatever method you choose to try, just remember that losing weight and getting healthier is a form of self care. You have to love yourself and and your body. Putting McDonalds (for example) into your body is harmful every time, even if it's once a week. You really have to love yourself to take the best care of yourself. That's a concept that eluded me for a long time, but once I unde…

I know I'm pretty late with this, but I just wouldn't have gone at this point. He clearly doesn't respect your time but most likely expects you to respect his. Make your own plans or just go somewhere, shopping, get your nails done, see a friend, something for you. To be honest, for me this would be a reason to spend time apart and figure out if you two should even be together. Will he try to make plans with you? Will he be available? Will he seek contact? I don't think that being red-pilled sho…

Just the fact that you're aware of this, means you're already ahead. She is showing you what not to do, which can be a valuable lesson if recognized as such.
