But if it’s an itch you a scratch “he’ll do” does that also mean he’s generally less good looking than the guy you would potentially marry? It’s usually the opposite, there seems to be a much higher bar for a hookup looks wise for many women

Does the story make nice shoulders/biceps etc all of a sudden look hot?

What specifically regarding variety? Like physically speaking?

Assuming you already like the way he talks, smells, etc., like you mentioned—what usually sparks the shift into lust? Any specific moments you can recall where it consciously clicks?

And over time, what is it about the actual person that arouses you, if the arousal is not based at all on their physical appearance?

I see, so in the day dreams when dreaming about guy A, guy B does not exist and vice versa? You couldn’t imagine a scenario in real life where you are with guy A and want to just have a hookup with guy B in the same storyline? Assuming guy A is not a super serious relationship

Hmm ok let’s not use a celebrity as an example. Just any crush in general that you know personally or see out and about. Would the mere fact that you are crushing on them mean that you find hooking up with them fun? Like are you fantasizing about that the hookup at all. Or does it go back to your previous scenario where you’d rather just pick the best guy and if you are crushing on him you’d weigh it against your current partner to see if you should upgrade
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/24 04:24 PM

I feel like you’re conflating a crush and a fantasy though? A fantasy seems more about the scenario it’s self than the actual person. Like hooking up in public or something because the adventurous part of it makes it more arousing. By the logic of your previous comment are you saying that if a celebrity crush of yours suddenly became an option with no consequences, you'd rather upgrade instead of just having fun hooking up with them?

So would you say your sexual attraction/ arousal is passive? Like if he checked every box. Looks, personalty etc that alone wouldn’t be enough to desire him sexually.

So your focus is mostly on the romantic. Like I get what you mean by the Romantic attraction being a requirement for there ever to be sexual attraction possible. However, what is it that actively drives you to want sexually pursue them/ hook up with the them?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/24 12:54 AM

So when does the sexual attraction come into play and what is bringing it to the forefront of your attention if the ‘status’ stuff is mostly romantic attraction?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/24 01:15 AM
1

I think the disconnect here is that when men talk about attraction it mostly involves sexual attraction which involves primarily her physical appearance (at least initially). So it’s hard to imagine how some social status can make someone’s physique look more sexually attractive. Is that what you mean by status “adding to their attraction”?Like is their increased status turning you on?

Is it like upon finding out they’re a successful entrepreneur or something you suddenly get a strong urge to hook up with them Hahha in the same way a straight man might see women with a nice physique and think the same??
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/24 06:17 PM

It seems you mean attracted in a logistical manner rather than sexually ?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/24 09:19 AM

And when you do feel that sexual desire, do you lust for his physique/ appearance at that point or does your sexual desire manifest a different way?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/24 05:13 PM
1

Do you personally feel that you can be sexually attracted to a guy and want to hook up with him solely based on his appearance and physique?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/24 04:55 PM

Can you elaborate on the sexual variety point? Like when you masturbate (specifically when you are single and don’t have that outlet) do you usually have a go to person you imagine or do you switch up the person every few times ?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 07:07 AM

To be more specific, I was trying to parse out if it was mostly about his body (given you don’t know much about him since it’s a hookup) like maybe slimmer, taller, or more muscular etc what about the new guy specifically is so exciting
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/23 06:51 PM
1

Which novelty factors are the most exciting about a new guy?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/23 06:41 PM
1

What’s interesting is that most of the things you mentioned you’d discover while hooking up with them, not by being drawn in visually. So is the enjoyment of a “different body” more of a cherry on top? Like that’s not what drew you in to wanting to hook up with them but it’s just a bonus? Because with many guys I’m sure you are aware, they are drawn in by a different body type and might hook up with them solely for that reason. And they’re drawn in visually
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/23 05:49 AM
1

Reference my last question ^ I was just trying to parse out if the novelty of a different body is as alluring as it is for many guys when seeking a hook up. I guess it would be hard to answer that unless you’ve magically lived both lives
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/23 05:31 AM
1

How much of a factor does the “different body” play into it? Is that like 90% of the draw to have sex with them? Especially given it is casual sex and you don’t know them well (haha id love to dm you to inquire a bit more but I think you have it turned off)
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/23 05:15 AM
1

1) Hmm so in regards to the sex its self, still the novelty is not related to their body at all, but something else? 2) Have you ever been sexually interested in multiple people at once and wanted to hook up with each of them, and if so could you attribute that to the novelty of each guy?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/23 04:55 AM
1

Two questions 1) Are these novel dialogues, scenarios etc directly making the sex feel novel? Because it sounds more like the lead up to sex but not the actual sex itself 2) When you first started dating did you have like a craving to experience various novelties before getting into a more serious relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/23 04:34 AM
1

Can you elaborate on what you about a new guy that you consider novel? And are those novelty factors directly related to enjoying sex with them
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/23 04:20 AM
1

Can you elaborate on the “variety” aspect? Was it related their body at all, the variety of that? or something else
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/23 04:05 AM
2

Was there any craving for experiencing the novelty of a new guy? Or is it mainly “ ehh I guess this will do for now” like is there any motivation to hook up with multiple guys to experience the novelty
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/23 04:03 AM
1

How much of the “novelty” aspect comes in to play? And if it does come into play, is the novelty related to their body type?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/23 04:00 AM
5

Would you say your motivation in pursuing all those flings was similar to a guys? As in for the novelty of hooking up with different men because of their different body types?

I think the difference is that guy is most likely already sold on hooking up with you if he’s on the date already. Where for the woman it is more likely that she’s still on the fence about it. The back and forth signals is more about the guy throttling how he behaves based on what the signals she’s giving to him. Otherwise he is down already. My question to you is, when you’re on the fence, is there something in his personality/behaviors that you’re looking for before you tip over into also want…

Hmm but I guess this takes me back to the original question. If you imagine a sexy situation and don’t imagine the visuals at all when masturbating. Also it doesn’t seem looks are the main driver of arousal or even at all ( during imagination or real life). Then why is it the case that many times women are more initially receptive to someone better looking? If at the end of the day basically any guy (average looks and above) could potentially arouse you even more than the model looking guy. Like…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/22 08:53 AM
1

Can you define what you mean by a hot situation? ( maybe like a basic example) I just don’t get why the situation matters that much if he’s already hot. It’s also interesting how the 3 requirements you mentioned don’t involve you touching them to get more aroused ( like how guys enjoy being the physical to the women) It seems like it’s more about being receptive to the guys touch
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/22 08:10 AM

Yeah I think I got it. So what you’re saying is you could potentially be horny for different guys for different reasons? Let’s say these guys were one dimensional. One guy you has the best looks (9/10) and an average personality. Another guy is a 6 let’s say looks wise but has a 9 personality. You’re saying for the guy with 9 looks his looks is what is getting you horny? And for the 6 his personality is getting you horny and somehow his body doesn’t do anything for you? So the 6 in looks you cou…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/22 07:58 AM

I asked this to someone else as well. Since it’s more about craving the sensations and not really about the visuals in any way. What role does desiring someone with better looks play for you? Like what makes you be intrigued by a guy with let’s a 9 looks wise?( I’m not saying you value looks the most or something, but there is clearly something more intriguing about a 9 looks wise vs a 6 for women ) So if it does not play a role in turning you on since the visuals don’t matter, then what makes b…

If the looks are so unimportant in regards to turning you on, what role do good looks actually play for you? Like what draws you in to desiring it Especially since women are known to be more picky on looks online for sure, in person as well but to a lesser extent
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/22 07:28 AM
2

Since you don’t crave the visual stimuli for sex to get horny can you explain how being more picky than guys on looks on dating apps and in person happens? What role are looks good looks playing for you exactly? Also as a separate question. Does the process of getting horny for you solely rely on liking their personally and being stimulated by them physically and verbally? And nothing else? Like if you liked his personality but he was just sitting there with shirt off or something it would do ab…

So with the hands example, they just look like regular hands no attraction. Then all of a sudden it changes after you get to know them and they suddenly become sexually attractive hands? So interesting loll
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 11:48 PM

yeah thats true, personality does enhance the attraction for sure. However for guys, the sexual attraction can be there even if they haven't spoken one word with her. "You can find someone sexually attractive or alluring without being sexually attracted to them if that makes sense." Yeah i think you mean like looking at a beautiful sunset or something, aesthetic attraction. So after liking them, do their physical features suddenly become sexually attractive where before you just thought they loo…

And then you start to find their body sexually attractive as a result? I guess I just don’t get how knowing them more changes how you feel about them sexually? Like you start finding their arms or something arousing from knowing their personality ? intuitively for men the personality, and the sexual appeal of their body is totally separate. The sexual attraction comes first, personality comes later,

Could you explain a little more on how knowing more about their personal life can create a sexual attraction? is it like as they tell you more and more things the attraction just grows, or is it possible they mentioned one thing that clicked with you and suddenly you realized you are attracted now?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 09:51 AM

What usually pushes it for you from just being intrigued by them for being charismatic etc. to liking them sexually or romantically? Like is just recognizing they're your type sufficient to do that or is it more about something during the interaction that does that
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 01:20 AM
1

After you notice that they have the personality qualities that you find attractive does the attraction happen suddenly like a light switch or more slowly? And like is it just being able to recognize that they're your type that turns you on, or does it have to be something they specifically said like through flirting for example (assuming you already know they're your type) I guess its pretty contrasted in the way many men describe attraction where they can see someone and without knowing them be…

Have you ever romantically/sexually attracted solely by their physical features? Or does something they say when conversing such as being interested in similar topics need to happen create those feelings
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 10:06 PM

For the exterminator guy as in example. When you say attracted do you mean romantically or sexually ?

Whats your criteria for a short term relationship? Or have you not looked for that before

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
