I never had a problem with her being the butt of the other joke. I only commented here to point out that if you believe the guy is joking then the girl must also be joking, but as you can see in the comments a lot of people including the OP were implying that it’s outright impossible that the girl was joking, but happy to believe the guy was joking. Beyond that, I couldn’t care less about the girl or guy in the tweet.

Like I explained in another comment, why should the onus be on me to verify a claim someone else made? Scientific journals don’t publish groundbreaking science then end it with “so everyone else should go out and confirm this is legitimate with their own experiments”, they provide their results, and sources.
