If you go online and look at all the instagram bullet journals you get all of the fancy ones. Mine is so basic I just follow the main form of it, went off of rider's book. Which is all about the function and not making it fancy. There is a subreddit I think is generally more focused on this side, it is the basicbulletjournals, and even some on there are probably more elaborate than what I do. I just found some of the organization to be helpful and the rapid or short notes for daily, but it isn't…

Might consider looking into the bullet journal I have been following that for a while now (many many months) Still in the just keeping it in the basic habitual stage, just write down various things day to day in a short order method. Have a list of monthly tasks and a list of days in the month with things going on. It has helped me tremendously more than keeping track of things even with a calendar, I can flip to various pages and get a pretty good outlook of what is all going on with various ta…

I have read a couple of books recently that talked a lot about the value of face to face time for communication. One in particular mentioned that 7% is the actual message, 38% tone of voice and 55% non verbal cues. So when texting, email social media in general only like 7% of the message is getting through. The books are: the like switch and never split the difference.

Could be that you are frowning at them, may not realize it as it may not be a very deep frown either but just a little wrinkling of the space between your eyebrows. You also are likely sending off non-verbal signals that is sending off the wrong signal. A genuine smile is probably not going to make you seem more creepy, a fake smile though probably would. Might be worth reading some body language books like: The like Switch (was a good one). There are plenty of others as well.

yup pretty much this. I ended up staying in a bad marriage longer than I should have because of kids then proceeded to get divorce raped anyways... Still better than staying in a dead horrible marriage.

I was more or less coerced into putting my name down on his birth certificate which established me as his father. After the years that we were together he wasn’t specifically told (her desire that I went along with). We then separated and initially he lived with me, then not too long ago due to issues I was having with him and the other kids decided to fly him to where the ex lives (she lives a couple thousand miles away in a different state). At which point she told him that I wasn’t his father…

Yes I am sure that is more than possible. Also, doesn’t have to even be your own kid either. I am paying child support for a kid that isn’t mine. While I have 2 of the kids that are mine.

Walt Disney himself was very likely extremely left leaning. He grew up learning to draw by copying cartoons from the newspaper called "Appeal to Reason". Which was a newspaper his father was subscribed to. The newspaper was extremely left-wing socialist newspaper. He also likely determined the overall culture of his company and would likely have people that would have similar ideals working for the company to be a cultural fit. I would imagine that a lot of his work, and story telling would have…

Going off of a few other comments you made. I would strongly discourage making games because you enjoy playing games. The gaming industry is a bit crazy, they really will suck the life out of developers. It is not a side of tech that I have any interest in going into after spending a lot of time talking to them. Plus the problems you will be solving building games really are not that interesting problems as they don’t really benefit anyone or anything. Since you also mentioned having a kid is it…

Really want to emphasize taking the correct amount. It is really easy to overdose on vitamin d . Taking too much has some serious toxic effects like but not limited to: kidney failure, bone loss, stomach pain, constipation, nausea, vomiting, poor appetite, elevated blood calcium levels, and elevated blood levels. There are some foods that have naturally occurring vitamin D. There are a few different kinds of fish that can provide vitamin D, like salmon, herring, sardines, cod, tuna, oysters, shr…

Living the worse case scenario here, let me tell you it sucks, it doesn't just suck it is soul draining. Was more or less coerced into parental responsibilities to a kid that wasn't mine. Went on and had two more kids with her. We divorced, still fully responsible for the kid. He was a really difficult to deal with him and the other kids so decided to send him back to her, and I am sitting here still wondering if that was a good decision or not at this point. Since just the other day she started…

There is probably too much for one comment here regarding career search and how best to approach it. I think that the first very key thing and this helped me really reorganize my resume and how I even searched: The company is looking for an employee to fill a need that the company has. So even at a job fair a company is looking for people to fill a need that they have. Now the question is, how can you best show that you can fill that need? Most resumes and incidentally most candidates are more c…

Well there is the typical advice and some of it stands true either way. Like not talking bad about the kids mom around them. Or try not to fight with her while the kids are around stuff. It does make a big difference. Now what I think most don't talk about though is that there are generally changes to rules and how they are applied with regards to the kids. My ex would hardly follow the rules that I had established for the kids whenever they went to visit her. Even though consistency was specifi…

That is piss poor luck but I hear you. I ended up getting a pretty good lawyer especially with the overly complicated thing I had going on, he busted his ass though.

10s of thousands of dollars or more would be more accurate. Between legal fees, filling fees, time in front of the judge, home inspections can get up there fast. Also if you are fighting your own lawyer, get a different lawyer that is looking out for your interests.

No joke. I figured at the end the divorce costed me nearly $80k over the period of about 3 years, if not slightly more. I would have happily done any number of other things... At least the $1300 a month will be done in Jan.

I am paying my ex $1300 a month, and I have the kids... Edit: It would have been a lot more too if she had gotten a lawyer during the proceedings, or disagreed with it during mediation. As in over $2k a month even with me having the kids. I can completely see how this guy got raked for $3k a month if he doesn't have the kids.

Raised around some seriously over zealous religious types as a kid, I went atheist a long time ago. Over time I adjusted my beliefs to atheist for a while. Now I consider myself a pantheist.

I do have a court ordered parental agreement, and have a lawyer. The agreement was that we were to trade off every year and each person would get half the summer. She hasn't wanted them really, and honestly it has been better for the kids since they are doing much better in school and health wise. I will be talking to my lawyer here soon about different options moving forward regarding this. The problem though is if she upholds the current parental plan, which she legally would be able to then I…

Thank you. This gives me a lot of anxiety actually lately actually. I am divorced, I got the kids a few months after she left. We live in different states, I have had them pretty much the entire time for 2 years now (she does call them on a fair regular basis). She supposedly will be picking them up for about a month this summer. My anxiety is that I will have difficulties getting them back from her this time or even next time. Especially knowing that the spousal support will end early next year…

I am saying that they are just as crazy in their opposite views. If this was on a line, on one end would be extreme and the other end would be just as extreme in the opposite. Edit: Eh, not very clear of a response. The idea of having man go spend hours at work away from the family came about earlier than cultural marxism. Conservatives (not all) want to shame men into marrying (per the video) so that they will work more hours and jobs that pay more, however this has the side effect that the men…

This really does show though the right side conservative/religious views and how they are still trying to kill what it means to be a man and father. Their example even is silly, guy goes into the military to make more money to provide for his family. What they obviously miss is that the wife stays home and sleeps around with chad has another kid and the betabux gets required to take care of even that kid. So of course these men are going to need to make more money, they have to cover the cost of…

I wouldn't compare your progress to others and be like oh these guys just found TRP and have made a huge turn around in their life and can have sex at the drop of a hat. There are some here that have been working on bettering themselves for years at this point. They probably are not going to post much honestly at this point because there is an understanding that there is a lot more self work that needs to be done. For example, I have been on massive self improvement change that started about 3 y…

Fetal alcohol syndrome is no joke, those kids are messed up. Ended up taking care of one for several months, that was some seriously rough shit while the mom was in rehab. Soon as she got out of rehab while pregnant with another kid ended up drinking so much she almost died, a couple of times. Tobacco should be included, my kids all have issues because my ex wouldn't quit smoking while pregnant.

Awesome post that is spot on. The only thing I would add is any kind of couples/marriage counselling is absolutely the worse. Not only do you get this behaviour from them it gets reinforced with a 3rd party listening in. Actually it is worse than that, because it is the whole we need to talk from either party amplified by orders of magnitude. While having someone trying to convince you that you need to be more beta. Seriously they (both the counsellor and her) will tell you that you need to step…

I think he was mistaken about what Rollo said. As to who he is, he is the author of the rational male (linked in the sidebar), he posts a lot, and I think he is one of the more original members.

I believe this is the article you are referring to: Sorry,.. All though about midway in the article he says: People seem to get confused about how self-deprecation really functions. I’m not suggesting that a Man take himself so seriously that he can’t laugh at himself; in fact a brilliant tactic is to present a prevailing, ambient sense of seriousness, then admit to and laugh at whatever goof it was that removes you from it. Nothing endears a man more to a woman than to think only she can break …

Completely understandable. You probably already made it on the managers shit list so to speak already. To make your time until August a little smoother I would become the embodiment of the yes man. Basically the if you are asked to do something go do it, ask the manager for things that they want done and do them. Nail down the stuff you need to do for your current job, stop trying to pickup other skills that don't relate for now. Basically treat the job for what it is right now, a pay check and …

Interesting bit, a big reason why people leave their current jobs is because of their manager, company culture, or growth potential. Why employees leave their jobs. From what it sounds like this manager will prevent you from making any movement in the company, and your coworkers are comfortable in their position so probably won't help either. Also from what he has said to you and done at this point would be serious huge waving red flags to me. I see a couple of ways to go with this though. Find …

Very similar, made it agonizing to my ex to take me shopping with her. Would respond with: "thats nice" without looking whenever she asked my opinion. Wander off to go look at something more interesting. Extraordinary amount of criticism over anything and everything that she was wanting.

That is dependent as well, when my ex remarries if she does it in the next year I will still have to pay her until next year. I pushed to have the terms of alimony set in a non renegotiable way by the advisement of my lawyer.

It seems that your religious beliefs are very restrictive on life and as such you probably have been fighting your own human nature as it goes against a lot of what your beliefs are. So if you are asking for permission to change your beliefs so that you can be a little freer, well I think that is a deeply personal question that you will have to come up with an answer on your own. Some random people on the internet sure can say yup your religion sucks drop it and go enjoy life, but at the end of …

Lets look at this a little differently.... It is good to remember that most people especially women think that men can control their erections with such precision that they could if they wanted to do dick ups. So from her perspective that first sexual encounter you unintentionally orbital nuked her confidence. Instead of moving on and having good sex afterwards the shattering confidence has continued on with the subsequent encounters. Taking this latest one for example, she was fondling you, ins…
