After 10 years it is considered mid to long term marriage, you may be eligible for permanent alimony. Get a lawyer, and a reputable one. Just pay retainers and don’t be penny wise and pound foolish.

File a motion for pendente lite parenting time. Include your allegations of attempted alienation of your kids and the “extortion”. Not barred in Florida and this isn’t legal advice, but share this with your attorney and prepare to shell out 5k for the parenting time motion.

FYI; 250-350 is the going rate for most small firms in the NY-NJ-CT tri-state area. White shoe firms or “big box” firms start at 500. Accounting of time is required in all legal matters. Do your homework and pick a firm/lawyer with a good reputation. Don’t go for the $499 divorce ad you see on a billboard.

Please do not think you can do this on your own. People have done pro se divorces but you’re a fool if you don’t have a reputable lawyer handling your case. Most decent attorneys will charge 250-350 an hour and if your marriage was short lived, you can probably get out of everything for 5-7K with the peace of mind you have a professional looking out for your interests.

You need to ask a lawyer for a referral to a family attorney. If the marriage was not very long, odds are any support would be pendente lite (temporary) and not durations or long term.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
