Well if you read the comment thread you'll see that I have already had this debate, changed my stance and I for the most part agree. However, you do make sound like you're denying that discrimination exists in the West altogether. Discrimination exists all over the place towards all types of people in many forms. Of course you can debate the seriousness of all these situations. But to suggest problems don't exist in some places to at least small degrees is disingenuous in my opinion. It's like d…

The argument is that women are discriminated against and that there needs to be laws to protect their human rights. From my discussion here I've learnt that it's debatable whether the pay gap exists, however, this is not to say that women are not still discriminated against in society. Throughout history and in different parts of the world, more than men are; this is just a fact of history. The degree to which this exists today in Western countries is debatable and difficult to accurate provide …

You make some excellent points, thanks for taking the time to enlighten me. I'll definitely be doing some further study on this. Someone mentioned this book by Warren Farrell that I'm going to put on my reading list as well; http://www.warrenfarrell.net/Summary/

What do you make of this study, that found that "when looking at specific occupations, the study found male graduate nurses and primary school teachers earned more than their female counterparts." I think so long as there are facts like this, there's always going to be debate about whether discrimination is at play. http://theconversation.com/male-graduates-earn-more-than-female-graduates-study-28101 Assuming men are able to command higher salaries due to better negotiation skills, do you think …

You never learn much debating with people who share your bias.

That's interesting, I wasn't aware of this study.

They should be paid the same if they do the same, exact work. Oh come on, of course that's exactly what I meant, and that is the position of any reasonable feminist. My sentence can be read both ways and you chose to interpret it one way and accuse me of making a particular assertion. It is highly evidenced that women in many industries in Western economies often do not receive the same amount of pay for the exact same work.

radical feminists. nothing wrong with plain feminism. i.e. believing that women should be paid the same, and have the same rights as men etc. it's the radical feminists who are the problem. EDIT: someone explain the downvotes? EDIT: ok, thanks for the informative feedback, this has given me a lot to think about.

It was a joke. However, there have been some sketchy statements made by RSD folks — http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/comment/the-game-and-real-social-dynamics-is-the-seduction-community-pushing-the-idea-that-no-just-means-not-yet-8463333.html

Real social dynamics. It's a company that does seminars on how to fuck with women's minds so you can fuck them in the pussy. It's basically rape tactics meetup group.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
