Did I say anywhere in my posts that she's a fucking hero? No. Nor did I imply it. I don't applaud get I don't celebrate her, I don't give a shit about her. I said she at least did something. Take it at face value and move on. JFC Reddit

Excellent point. It very well could be a scam, I didn't dig beyond the public profile. Taken at face value, i look at it as, "Hey, at least it's something." Thanks for the comment.

No shit. At least she's doing something positive to help others instead of just walking away and doing jackshit.

Well, sounds like she's trying to make things right. Her LinkedIn profile says she founded s mentoring program for previously incarcerated women. If true, I can respect that... Here's a short short snippet: The Rusty Diamond Network mentors and provides re-entry services for at-risk and Paroled women of current and past TDCJ, incarceration. We focus on seven key life areas, leading women to live meaningful lives thereby, reducing recidivism in prisons and breaking the chains of repeat offenders.…

Tomatoes are nutritious and edible. I'd consider Hillary to be a gas station egg sandwich that's gone sour. You are correct though, Trump is dogshit.

I think a lot of people voted exactly how you described in your comment. That being said, there are a lot of people that can’t wrap their mind around that concept, hence all the downvotes.

Exactly. I regrettably voted for Trump in 2016, but only because I despised Hillary.

At the risk of deflating justice boners, Judge Judy is less law and more show. I learned from someone (sorry i can't remember the source) that obviously guilty parties agree to go on the show because the producers of the show will pay the judgements.

In that context i think it would be more "I'm not allowed to use my body to throw a brick at someone, but it's my choice to throw a brick at myself if i want. My body my choice." I see your point though. The part that I don't get is the "Women's right to choose is bing taken away!" I think that's complete bullshit. You choose who you have sex with. You choose how to protect yourself from getting pregnant. You know there's a risk even with protection, but you choose to take that risk anyway. Of c…

Thank you for having an open mind about it. I am a big supporter of gun rights, but I also think it's important to have sane people on the other side that are willing to have a legit conversation. It helps balance things out.

I already said that was a no-brainer... You conveniently ignored the mental health debate. If you think any country is immune to civil rights violations, you are delusional. I get the feeling you're from a very priviledged background and never left. That would explain the arrogance coupled with lack of actual experience. I don't do drugs, but thanks for your interest. Maybe if you put the pipe down sometimes, the world will be less foggy. Thanks for the chat, go fuck yourself. Be well.

Sigh... Here we go... It's not pseudo-intellectual bullshit. You took it upon yourself to determine what is rational and therefore anyone who disagrees is irrational. Everyone's definition is different. In this game, definitions are extremely important. I'm surprised you haven't figured that out. I'm in favor of checks. However... NICS has so many holes that even mass shooters have passed screenings. Mandating them also means establishing what is criteria for "Approved" and "Disapproved". Feloni…

I would rather have the person raped to be punished? Just to get it out of the way, fuck you for saying that. That is so far from the truth you'd have to go elbow deep in your ass to reach that one. The lines aren't black and white. They never were. There are more moderates on both sides than there are extremists. The problem is when one side makes accusations of the other and demands that lines be drawn. We get into arguments not realizing most of us are on the same side and nothing gets done. …

Among “rational” people? Who decided what is rational? I absolutely support universal checks. I think every transaction should have one. HOWEVER, I would never support legislation for it. I mentioned earlier that when a compromise is made, the standards get reset and the compromises made are quickly forgotten. A check turns into registration and registration turns into confiscation. I’ve complied with mandatory lists before and got raided twice for my trouble. I have multiple degrees, a house in…

The problem gun-rights supporters have with gun-control supporters, is the fact that gun-control supporters don't understand existing law. They frequently use generic terms like "reasonable" and "common sense," in passing legislation, and when legislation passes, the standard for what is "reasonable" and "common sense" magically changes and more ineffective laws get passed. It's politicking because R-Joe Schmo isn't against a women's right to choose. He's against whatever provision was in said a…

Sounds like the problem can be solved through education and comprehensive foster care reform, which are both LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG overdue. Those same "old people" are also against these as well. Trying to solve the problem through abortion ignores the existing problem we already have.

When a person disagrees with an aspect of "Pro-Choice", they immediately labeled as "being against a woman's right to choose." It happens every. damn. election. cycle. "Repubican Bob Jones is against a woman's right to choose when he voted no on prop 12! Vote for Democrat Joe Bob, who supports women's rights!" That is absolutely an agenda in word choice. Same for guns. It's not "Pro-Choice," it's "Pro-Gun Rights." It's not "Anti-Gun," it's "Gun Control." Semantics is everything in swaying public…

About 5% of abortions are the result of rape. The other 95% are not. If people didn’t treat abortion like they do a contraceptive, I’d bet we could get it fully legalized in a week.

Calling it pro abortion is calling it what it is. You support the ability to have an abortion. It’s the same with “gun rights”. Being pro-gun doesn’t mean you want everyone to buy a gun, you just want access IF you want. Many of the things you name, like education and contraceptive access, are supported by both sides. The ones that don’t support those are on the far side of the spectrum, and not the norm. I honestly believe the vast majority of Americans support a compromise in between, but inte…

People may down vote you, but you are absolutely correct. The argument seems to be that rape and incest are the predominant reason for Abortion, when in fact it counts for less than 5% of it. If abortion is banned for everything except rape and incest, the number of rape claims to obtain an abortion will skyrocket.

Sex had with you? Not able to make decisions for yourself? That's called rape. When you're a dumbass/bad choices/regret? That's called life. What is the balance here? How many abortions are result of rape, and how many are the result of being an irresponsible dumbass?

No, it's pro abortion. You choose to have sex. With sex comes the risk of pregnancy. I'm actually pro-abortion in some cases, but the real message manipulation comes from the word choice. "You aren't pro-choice? you mean you don't believe in a woman's right to choose?" vs "you aren't pro-abortion? You mean you don't believe in abortion?" It's a very subtle, yet powerful and manipulative change.

I think (or maybe I'm just hoping) her point is to get women to think about consequences of getting into real relationships with broke-ass guys. If you want to have kids, dating a broke ass man or woman who can't pull his or her own weight sucks royally. I'm a landlord, and one of my properties is in a low income area. During my last turnover, I got over three dozen applicants. No joke, about 30 of them were single moms with no support from the father.

Fuck, this story is making me so angry. When he filed a suit against his piece of trash ex-wife, two of his sons broke off contact with him. He also wasn't invited to his kids graduations either. I get that choosing between your parents has got to be a very hard thing to do, but not acknowledging when one side fucked up real bad is equally messed up.

So the kid that knocks over a campaign sign if you yard deserves a punch in the face? What about the guy that bumps into your car and tries to blame you? Just because someone creates physical contact does not give one the right to escalate it. That's why destruction of property and assault are two different things.

She got penalized for an obscure call during a critical point in the game. Yeah, she was acting like a jerk, but that was a clear case of a ref trying to stack the game against her. It would be like the ref ejecting the star player on your soccer team at the last minutes because he's not wearing the regulation approved shoe color.

Thank you for saying this! Serena did act like a jerk, but in this case her reaction could be justified. For people that don't understand tennis, this is like a ref calling a 10-yard penalty when it's 4th and down at the Super Bowl and you need a touchdown to win. In soccer this would be like a ref ignoring all penalties in till the last minute of the game, then granting a penalty kick to the team he likes better. The rough in this case was clearly an asshole, it's a shame that so many people ar…

Am I the only one who thinks the cop took this way too far? There was no scene before they showed up, no wild shenanigans that we could see, just people relaxing on the beach. Maybe I've been lucky because the last few cops I've been stopped by have been cool as shit (pulled over today as a matter of fact). These just feels wrong.

And I'd call you privileged. $100 says you're fair skinned, lived in at least a somewhat affluent area all your life, and likely not from the US. Am I right? I think the BLM movement is ridiculous, but the fact that these experiences are history to me and incomprehensible to you is why they exist. Lucky for your ass you never had to deal with it.

Oh really? I had a cop threaten me with jail because I drove through an empty crosswalk when then light was green. He thought it was illegal, but he was wrong. I had another tell me to go fuck myself when I asked why I got pulled over. The reason she later gave me was, "Dirt on license plate". Another time I was handcuffed and put on the sidewalk for suspicion of drugs. I was a senior engineering student with no life, I had no drugs. I was late for an exam thanks to that. Because we don't have the time, money, nor resources to teach shitty parents how to be good parents. The easy option for the government is to throw money at them, offer free classes to teach them how to manage their money and expenses within a family, and hope they show up. The majority don't. I don't know where you're from, but I've lived in the hood a long time.
