I know it's silly, but this honestly means a lot. For what it is worth, I don't subscribe to this subreddit, and I don't really enjoy participating here all that much. I mean, I don't despise it, but this genre of "rage subreddit" can often become very toxic (for all sides, really). But yes, I really do believe what I say, and I'm glad you agree. Gender has little to do with it; it's just an unhealthy dynamic for everyone.

But either way, I'll point out that even if your stats are right, you have at least 33% of domestic violence victims being male, which is still all out of porportion to how society & the government treats it. Very true. It certainly is a problem that needs addressing. My main point was that misleading claims and biases are not the way to go about it.

Perhaps I'm confused or unsure of my definitions. But how is a man getting mugged on the street relevant to the discussion, and how is it an example of systemic gendered violence? It seems to fit none of your criteria that you listed above. I'm not trying to debate with you, only trying to understand. I understand the difference between crime report statistics and actual domestic violence statistics. Ah, thank you for that. Unfortunately, I'm still not convinced. A quick google search yields many studies in the opposite direction, and wikipedia leans that way too. While her video is fantastic, I just feel that her treating this 'fact' like common knowledge when in reality it is a heavily debated and controversial topic is a little misleading. Sounds strange, but she seems biased in favour of men.
