Though I've never met you, I'm grieving with you for all that you passed through. It must have been tough. I'll give you another perspective though. All these feminine features that you hate will allow you to become a very caring, sympathetic, forgiving, and understanding husband, father, friend. So don't try to get rid of them, instead, try to get back in touch with the masculine features you're lacking. It can be a huge curse to try to be someone you're not - trust me, I tried for a decade - b…

Why are you posting this on RPChristians? I speak this with love and I'm praying for you as I write this, but nothing about your story shows Christian values (sex out of wedlock? Sneaking in like teenagers when you are both over 26? Your comments about vaginas being "hell of a drug"?), nor your response to the situation (lack of repentance or any description of spiritual initiatives you've taken). Your issues are not with your girlfriend. I don't want to trivialize your problems because I'm sure…

What about repentance? What about serving? What about the great commission? What about memorizong his word? "Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me". People cast out demons in Jesus name, yet he still said he never knew them. The things I mentioned (among others) don't save us, but they are a direct fruit of being saved. If you don't do them, chances are that you don't really "trust" in Jesus Christ.

I agree with TRP for the majority of it, but mostly outside the faith. I don't know what type of Christian circle/denomination you live in, but in evangelical churches, many women committed to the faith are 'prone' to those tendencies cause AWALT, but they're aware of it and know that it's wrong for the most part. A ton of couples I find at church are not perfect, but live a fulfilling/traditional family life, as it's pronoted in the bible. Second point, is that if you lead like a man that the b…

Didn't expect to ever say it on this subreddit, but... Amen? This speaks to me both spiritually and socially, thanks for that. Just to add, as the scriptures say, the wisdom of God is foolishness to man. Society in the long run always, without exception, heads towards the distortion of the truth as a result of prioritizing their emotions and happiness. And those who stand for the truth will always be the "jerks", despite those "jerks" having the best interest of others in mind. Same thing here.

I disagree completely, especially if she likes her job. A girl in literature can talk to you for hours about essays she wrote without getting bored. A med student can talk to you endlessly about how awesome it was when she opened up a cadaver. Heck, even if she hates her job - say a call center - she can sit and talk for hours about how weird one of her coworkers is, how annoying the boss is, or a funny incident that happened with an angry client. I wouldn't suggest staying too long on a job she…

It largely comes from experience. Try to talk to people every day. No, not your 2 best friends, you're already "confident" around those. Talk to people in your class that you don't know. "Practice" on them. Be overconfident, and it's okay if you come off as obnoxious. You probably won't be close friends with those people.

You're right, but you still haven't answered the question. What constitutes an alpha?

I think you're commenting on the wrong thread, this is not a place for reviewing the movie. You completely missed the point.

You're right, but keep in mind (as much as we probably hate to admit it) that adult is both a big word and it is relative. A 35 year old CEO might not have good social skills and ability to pick up women, but you can't say he's not an adult. Also, you can be a simple highschooler who's confident and does whatever he wants, and be an alpha, while you can have Rambo or something and call him alpha. Both Alpha and Adult are relative.

Hmm, this is actually interesting. I think that both (bond type vs your friend's type) can work out as alphas, but I think the main difference, is that not everyone (in fact, VERY little) can actually pull off what you're describing, because most would just turn out to be obnoxious and weird. However, most - through a bit of practice - can pull off the stoic alpha. What do you think about this? I think we both agree (maybe you favor one, but still agree) that both can pull off an alpha. In that …

I'm not idolizing anyone, if that's what you're implying. I just used him as an example, and I don't intend on copying him all the time. It's just that naturally, I'm a person who smiles/laughs too much when someone says something cute to try to show agreement, or I complain a lot when something isn't ideal. I could learn a thing or two from bond. In fact, just after I had this realization, I noticed that all "attractive" or "cool" friends are all sort of like that, and I'm sure you noticed the …

Oh, absolutely! That's why I said "you don't have to ask the time". James Bond was just an example to demonstrate a point.

A question because I'm actually confused. After reading the log, I expected all the comments to be "lol beta husband doesn't do shit or try to dominate relationship" but I was surprised to see that people are against what she's doing. I mean, I'm not saying I agree with her, but is it really her fault if she's not attracted to him anymore because he doesn't have a drive for improvement? I also get the feeling that he's not very alpha/dominant for her to want to stay with him. I'm only asking to …

I'm new here (man), and just wondering about some stuff. You say; exactly like children in that without strong male leadership they will ruin themselves by being slaves to their emotions and short-sightedness. Are you overgeneralizing, or do you guys believe that +95% of women really are like this? Cause while I agree with most things being written here, I know many women that are responsible and live alone, and are doing very well. Without a doubt, they are VERY dependent on their emotions, but…
