| 3 | Sure, JanThe feminist movement isn’t one united front; there are still feminists, or feminist-aligned organizations doing just that dude Anyway, my argument was more about hypocrisy here than the content of the post itself. Have a good one and thanks for the talk | /r/EverydayMisandry | 30/11/24 06:39 PM |
| 1 | Sure, JanThat’s fair, but of course there will always be people with different experiences. In all honesty, I would have to do some research to find programs that encourage women to enter physically demanding trades, but I guarantee you they exist. Also, it’s pretty hard to say feminists don’t fight for that sort of thing when an organization fighting for women in the trades (among their other goals) doesn’t have to be overtly feminist as a prerequisite to do a feminist act such as that. | -1 | Sure, JanPerhaps because trades specifically are known to be a more toxic workplace even if you ignore sex. Also, a male dominated office job will still have more women than a male dominated trades job, and typically, since people like a sense of community, you’re more likely to feel more at home with people similar to yourself, meaning more female coworkers would be a plus | /r/EverydayMisandry | 30/11/24 05:50 PM |
| 6 | Sure, JanIsn’t this one right though? Male dominated fields are less inviting for women because of the ostracism they face, just like how men tend not to join female dominated fields like teaching or nursing. If this sub would support a post saying that men don’t enter female dominated fields because of the alienation they would face, and not because they aren’t caring or loving, this sub should also be against posts that twist that message on its head for women. I thought we were against double standard… | /r/EverydayMisandry | 30/11/24 05:33 PM |
