In my late 20s, and most of the people I know who got married at 21/22 are divorcing or doing a “trial separation” so I agree

Lol. Yeah. Relationships suck for women.

Yes. Please use it as much as possible. I actually sent it to my ex after he cheated on me and was complaining about how much we were arguing. Like yeah dude. You went out of your way to make my life hell. You should expect nothing more out of me than what you’ve given.

Because they don’t value or love themselves. That’s what a lot of it boils down to

“Just trust him! And after you have proof that he cheated on you, remember how stupid you were for trusting him and you deserved that!”

Lol. Because they like the idea of someone being loyal to them & putting effort into them but not having to be loyal or put effort into the relationship with them.

Lol: yes. Will never forget when my cheating ex told me I wasn’t a “safe haven” for him. Like when have you ever been safe for me. “If a man expects a woman to be an angel in his life, he must first create heaven for her. Angels don’t live in hell.”

Based on the comments I’ve seen on this subreddit, if you’re a man, your actions & thoughts are automatically “logical.”

Exactly! The entitlement is off the charts. And the hypocrisy of, “you’re not entitled to him reacting the way you want so you can lie.” Lol. I don’t argue with stupid.

How is it ghosting if you’re telling someone you don’t want to talk to them? No complete strangers are not owed a reason as to why you don’t want to date/ interact with them

Being angry at a complete stranger because they told a harmless lie to you is not an appropriate response

Jesus this hurts. I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that this is essentially what my ex did.

After wasting the last 3 years of my life dating a broke man, idc what anyone else thinks of me or my choice in partners. I’m a hardworking woman who deserves to be with someone that’s my equal.

Yeah I wouldn’t take it personal. I realize that’s easier said than done. But people who do stuff like that usually carry a lot of baggage around with them. He’s not taking time to see how he was wrong or could improve as a partner. You’re better off without him honestly. Whether or not he truly cares about you is something neither I or you can answer. But you can promise to care about yourself every day from here on out, and make sure you’re choosing you.

I’m really sorry you went through that. I went through something exactly the same. I wish people would see that this is a cultural issue, not just a few bad apples.

Tbh women get villianized for “getting under someone to get over someone” but men do it like it’s nothing. They will jump from person to person without any time truly being single. My ex accused me of doing this and said I had low self esteem because I couldn’t bare to be by myself. I told him I’d been completely single for over a year before, could he say the same? Could he say that he’d been completely single for even a month before? Of course he couldn’t. He literally jumped from woman to wom…

“You don’t think I feel bad enough about how I hurt you without you bringing it up?” Ok. Well how do you think the person who you hurt feels? Just a complete lack of empathy.

Is there a reason for why men can only empathize with situations they’ve personally been? Is it socialization you think?

So accurate. Was in an abusive relationship. Mom found out, cried about how disappointed she was and how she didn’t raise me to accept treatment like that. Like really? You belittled my feelings, told me I was a horrible selfish person since I was like 10, and told me that no one would ever love me but you because you’re my mom and you have to. Like what kind of relationship did you think you were setting me up for?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
