The woman is obviously a windbag but come on, knowing multiple languages is hard and a sign of intelligence, especially if learned after childhood

I didn't mean that if you're a racist then you're wrong if you say the sky is blue, I was saying when having a discussion about the role of race in fruitful relationships — the topic of the post — then no, I won't listen to a racist's point of view.

"Let's say I am racist. Does that invalidate my statements?" Of course it does. No one is pro racism.

Me: “lifting weights is good for immunity and disease resistance” You: “lmao I don’t think lifting weights keeps you from getting cancer or Alzheimer’s” “Here are studies showing lifting weights lowers your risk of cancer and Alzheimer’s” You: “lmao that’s not even what I said

Yes it does? It helps immunity and lowers risk of cancer and Alzheimer’s per my original comment that it lowers the risk of every illness and injury. Strength and mobility makes you more resistant to injury. Strength training is healthy. You can decide not to do it if you don’t want to but the science is solid that it improves the quality and quantity of every day you have on this planet.

Weird you won’t just google but here you go! Lifting weights is actually really good for you and will result in a longer life and a lower risk of frailty in old age. Even more muscle mass and lower body fat helps with longevity. it also just makes daily life easier. Try it out! https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/20/well/move/lifting-weights-exercise-older-aging-muscles-psychology.amp.html https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/22/well/move/why-does-exercise-guard-against-cancer-inflammation-may-play-a-rol…

Talk to any physical therapist about how strength makes you less likely to be injured by day to day activities, car crashes, etc. it’s easy to google the effects exercise has on immunity and cancer risk and bone health etc

Most guys watch 5hrs of tv a week and it’s not called “wasting time”. He works out 5hrs a week and insecure people call it wasting time. It lowers your risk of every illness and injury,, lowers anxiety, lifts mood and lengthens life.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
