I would probably say it depends, especially in relation to job fields. Like men are for sure the second sex in relation to elementary education. And like women are still very outnumbered in holding leadership positions. So it depends. If you’re referencing cultural media coverage I would say that women do get more of that. I would also say that may not be the case in other countries outside the United States.

Okay imma answer this from my point of view on how in two years I went from a men’s rights activist who despised feminism. To a feminist who is still sympathetic to men’s issues. I think what opened my eyes to the feminist movement was unfortunately seeing my friends, girlfriend, and my mother who’s in a leadership position being treated poorly because of their sex. It was also hearing about the sheer sexual harassment that they’ve experienced. Also being a Texas resident it was seeing their rep…

What issues did you discuss in the essay?

I don’t think this ad is attacking all men I can understand how it feels that way. IMO It’s bringing awareness that this is still exists and that there is still some creepy men out there. And has us do a little introspection to asses weather or not we have done one of those actions.

Dude that’s not at all what this ad is referring too. There is so much more to this ad. Staring is a very socially unacceptable thing. It’s literally considered rude and make people uncomfortable. And to be honest most of these activities make some women have panic attacks. What about their anxiety. women being sexually assaulted is a very real thing. This ad isn’t saying “don’t ever talk to a woman again” it’s just saying don’t be a weird about it. It’s saying don’t send dick pics. Don’t things…

That’s an unfortunate thing that happens to a lot of men. In fact it’s happened to me. But at the end of the day what the Scottish man says is a valid experience many women have had. Women that I’ve known have told me their experience with this type of thing and it happens more than I think most men think. A man looking at a woman is obviously not always a sign of violence to come, but you have to understand how it can make them uncomfortable. I’ll admit I was a bit hesitant to believe this type…

Well I think it says multiple things. At the end of the day I do believe there’s some cultural things that do need to be changed in relation to the way both sexes are treated. Like there’s a reason why this sub exists to begin with and thats because I do believe a lot of men feel like their issues in related to being a man aren’t necessarily listened to.

I mean, I don’t think either should be shamed. You need to have preferences for a partner. If you don’t then you’ll run into road bumps in the relationship. I don’t think it’s a crazy thing to want your partner to meet your personal criteria.

I mean yeah I’m sure that happens, but you’ll often see women getting shamed by other men. At the end of the day we all have preferences. You should only date who fits what you want in a partner and a relationship.

I mean you have to understand the anxiety that can provoke. Most women are sexually assaulted in their life. Having a stranger stare at you on a bus would be uncomfortable as fuck

Women get shamed for it too

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
