I do not have a job in the sound engineering field. I'm in IS, but I get 6 weeks of vacation a year that I never use. Now I'm going to use it all. I have only 1 country planned for this year, but making better plans for next year so I can do at least 2. The hardest part is mostly just saving/budgeting.

Was with my ex for 12 years. Yeah, it's tough. It's a major life change, like someone else pointed out. My ex was my best friend and she was someone I could talk to about ANYTHING. That is what I missed the most. Talking to other women helped me a lot, not the having tons of strange sex (tho it does help too). Make new friends and start dating again. No, no, no. I don't think I would even plate her up. I got her on FB now but I'm going to give myself some time to keep reading and digest more RP. My brother is a boxer and he always tells me, "after getting hit below the belt, the worst idea is to get back in the ring too soon. It always ends badly."

Wow dude. Reading this put a giant smile on my face. Thank you. I lift 5 days a week. Girls stare at me in the gym. I know I'm better than this situation, my ex and this dude. I became too complacent in the relationship and she saw it as a weakness and started swinging for the next branch. I got lucky and got out of all of this early (before marriage and kids) . I will move forward, plate up and fatten my pockets now that I don't have to pay for 2.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
