Lack of interaction. Buying your girlfriend flowers isn't simp behavior, because she's actively going out with you and buying you gifts as well. Buying flowers for a girl who doesn't even know your name is simp behavior because you're just giving stuff away.

If you can remember how many times you've been rejected, then either it's not very much- which means you're not even putting yourself out there, or you're really upset about it because you're insecure and needy.

Beating your chest like Tarzan is a hominid classic. There's just no comparison.

What's the most true thing I know about seduction? If you've been studying for 15 years and still don't have a girlfriend, then studying doesn't seem to get you anywhere. If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.

If you don't like yourself, then why should she?

It was happenstance like most relationships I've been in. I was living at home helping take care of my mom who had cancer and I rode a motorcycle a lot for stress relief. She moved in next door and she was a smoker, so she'd be smoking on her porch while I was fixing my bike in the front yard and we'd chat. She talked about her dad having a motorcycle and how she loved to ride. I thought she was cute but too old to be interested in me until one day, she said "we should get together and do someth…

Nobodies intentions are "pure" but this isn't r/philosophy so on to the pragmatic side of things: pay careful attention to how often you find yourself doing things you don't actually want to do. If it feels like a lot, then it is. And if you're doing a lot of things you wouldn't do on your own, then you're being manipulated. Simple to say, harder to apply.

When I was 18/19, I was fwb with a woman in her thirties. It was easily the best relationship I've ever had and it helped me grow a lot in the way I interact with women. Tread cautiously, a lot of people that age who are into 19 year olds are predatory and they just like you because they see you as naive and manipulable. Once you can be sure that's not the case, though, I highly recommend pursuing a fwb relationship with her. You'll learn a lot about yourself.

That car at the dealership doesn't actually get 40 miles per gallon, and the dating coach who wants you to buy his new video series didn't actually score 100's of women.

How would you know what it's like to be in your thirties if you're 21?

A lot of people really just want the validation of knowing they "could have" gone on a date, had a relationship, or just smashed. Once you return their interest, they have what they want and you "don't serve a purpose" in their lives anymore.

The key to not being creepy is the resolute acceptance of "no."
