Did you put that through google translate or something? Jesus christ... why do all xenophobes have such a poor grasp of the English language?

Buddy, you seem to be confused about what you want. You just got done trying to argue how its fine as long as you don't have to deal with em in your stories! Thankfully, your opinion counts for jack shit. You don't make up the entire audience, and media is not being created for your sole satisfaction. As such, you're gonna have to get used to a little more diversity, simply as a reflection of consumer desire. Oh well. We all have a cross to bear...

Counter what? Work on making a coherent argument first. You don't get to say who can and can't make a film. You don't get to claim ownership over media. A minority can pick up a camera or a pen or act just as successfully here in Vancouver. Non-white creators aren't asking some douche 'extracanadian' for permission. Honestly, I hope this is the last I hear from you. What a gross individual.

Nah, it's an asinine comment. What if an asian person or asian american writer wants to see themselves portrayed in the media they consume? What if Lewis Tan, an asian practicing martial artist of 15 years, also wants to play the hero? He was screen tested for Iron Fist, and then cast as a villain when they decided to keep the character white, and unfortunately, boring. Are non white people only supposed to have roles in "their own media" far away from "your" own? What about non white creators? …

Buddy, you continue to double down. I'm not being the least bit vague. You seem shockingly dense.

Yes, it's off topic, bigoted, and contains no facts.

Maybe you could spend some time thinking about who "they" are and why it is you want "them" to go over "there" to make "their own shows" about "their own people"? Let me know if you have trouble riding this train of thought... Good lord.

The fact is, the character itself was always a racist trope. It was an effort to tap into the Asian martial arts / kung-fu movie boom of the 70s, using a blonde white dude as the white savior character. It was pretty much the same story as that show with David Carridine, "Kung-Fu" I think. What's lame about keeping the character the same way, is it adds nothing to story. It would have been cool if Iron Fist was Chinese American, because it would have added an entirely different layer involving t…

Read this over again and think about why it makes you sound ignorant please.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
