Off topic but it's always a trip to me how a term that was mainly used by the PUA community back in the early 00s has now become so mainstream. It's also funny how old pimp terminology now also has widespread use in the "manosphere". As a former porn addict, I can tell you 100% that porn addiction was a huge part of why I had no interest in sex. It's pretty much porn. Porn has always existed, so has softcore porn. This is the softest of softcore porn, so soft that the women don't even acknowledge what they're doing as a form of pornography. They know men's #1 weakness and they're exploiting it like always. I think you're reading too much into this.

I have five close friends (four male, one female) that I grew up with and then a bunch of motherfuckers that I met throughout my life that I'm cool with but wouldn't consider my friends. I've never heard the term "cheerleader effect" but speaking from my experiences, I definitely believe it works.
