I doubt HR will care because your STBX is not an employee. However, you should not inform HR at this point. Lets assume that HR does care. You can imply to your STBX that if she settles the divorce favorably for you that you will not out her AP to HR.

Go get a lawyer and figure out this mess. You obviously have no idea how a divorce works. Why would letting her live with you rent free reduce any alimony? The longer she is unemployed the worse it is for you.

Not having kids with her will make the second divorce easier.

$1000 is worth it to find out what she could realistically get from you. Then negotiate from that starting point.

Staying for the kids usually makes everyone worse off.

This man needs a hand. But seriously, are you divorced, separated or just thinking about leaving? You should really talk to a lawyer in your area to see how having a girlfriend would effect your divorce case.

Sounds like mom is being lax and letting the kid get away with more. I would tell the kid no and get to the bottom of this. What is the mom letting her get away with? I don’t want to jump to extreme conclusions but the kid might be getting involved with bad friends/boyfriend or drugs and thinks that she can get away with it at her mom’s house. It is your job to do what is best for your kid, not to make them like you. If you don’t want to be the bad guy then blame your lawyer or something. Sugges…

Generally speaking you should not move out. It puts you in a bad legal position. However, you need to protect yourself. Put up cameras and record your conversations with the stbex. This will mitigate the risk of her make false abuse claims.

This is a watered down version of the same logic that leads people to “stay together for the kids”. You don’t need to subject your kids to your dysfunctional relationship with their mom. Is seeing that as a kid healthy? Having a positive relationship with your kids is important and it does not need to be tainted by your ex being there. Also, what do you hope will happen if these family outings go well? It is doubtful that they will lead to anything beneficial. The tone smacks of begging to get b…

She is an unappreciative child. If she does not immediately apologize and start appreciating you then you need to cut her off and leave her used up butt.

If the kids need school supplies or glasses then you should take them to get it. Not only does this allow you to control your money better but it improves your chances of getting a better custody deal because you are showing that you are an involved father.

If she is telling the truth, and the boy friend wants to meet you he probably knows about her affair. He might want to hear your side of the story in order to decide if he actually wants to marry her. You should ask for the boy friend’s number and talk to him directly so that you can at least warn him.

Don’t move out of the marital home. Document everything, record conversations. Go talk to several lawyers and pick one. Then get a game plan from your lawyer.

This marriage is over. Stop doing the pick me dance. If she cared she would have come back. You absolutely need a lawyer. Go pay for a few hours and get a game plan. If it is a simple divorce you can do most of it yourself and save money. Don’t get hung up on the house. Sell it and down size. Moving to a small apartment would save you a lot of money.

Talk to a lawyer and get the divorce started while she is in the affair fog. You are much more likely to get a good deal in the divorce if she thinks she has another meal ticket lined up. If there is another guy she may want to get the divorce over with quickly so she can start her new life.

You know what needs to be done. Now it is a matter of doing it. There is no saving this, the women you married is gone. Don’t move out of the house and shop around for a good lawyer. Have your lawyer build your a plan and follow it. If your home-life is so stressful try moving a bed into a separate room and just ignore her as much as possible until your lawyer says you can move out. Don’t engage with her and record all interactions. Put cameras in the house. She may try to say you abused her and…

I don’t know what country you are in but you need to take the court notice to a lawyer.

That does not make sense. If you are not officially divorced then you need a lawyer. At the bare minimum a lawyer needs to look over the final agreement before you sign it. What assets do you have? Have you agreed on how they will be divided. I’m assuming that there are no kids. Do not just sign whatever piece of paper is put in front of you without having a lawyer look over it.

Her acting crazy mostly helps you if you can document it. Record everything, install cameras in the house. Be ready to hit record on your phone.

You have a pretty sweetheart custody deal. Unless she ends up with a police recored or a history of homelessness then there is not much that will sway a court to give you more. She sounds like a nightmare and will eventually end up getting caught up in more illegal activity. She is not really using here two weekends a month so be thankful for that. When your kids do go with her make sure that they know that mommy acts strange sometimes and that if they feel unsafe they need to call 911 and you. …

You should make your continued friendship with her contingent on a clean financial break with no alimony and 50/50 custody if you have kids.

You should probably start looking through her communications for evidence of another guy and document everything. Depending on your state evidence of infidelity could help you. Go to a lawyer now and start the process of divorce. What is there left to save? Even if she changes her mind and says she is back in love with you, doubts will always remain and she could easily change her mind again. Don’t degrade yourself with the pick me dance.

Don’t get married again. You can have all of the benefits of marriage with cohabitation. You don’t need a legal document that makes kicking her out financial suicide. If you must get married, at least be smart about being dumb and get a rock solid pre-nup.
