Not familiar with the Canadian criminal justice system, but in my jurisdiction I can’t imagine any jury that would trust an accuser with multiple versions of the story, and can’t think of many attorneys who would want to move forward on a case like that.

I work in a big city, so I like to hit the country when I get a chance. On the weekdays: exercising, reading, meditating, dinner or drinks with friends and family. On the weekend: shooting range, hunting, fishing, On the horizon I'm thinking of getting a dog and/or starting lessons for either piano or guitar

Maintain the ability to walk away. Internalize the fact that after walking away you will find someone as good or better than the current LTR. My strategy for LTR's is a lateral approach. They don't think of controlling how you perceive them as much if you're just a friend so the information you gather is more (though still not totally) objective. It's takes a bit more patience but I've found that it gives you a better idea of who they are behind the facade they present the world.

I don't think it's as unpopular as you think. How cool would it be to shape the mind of a little badass into a man, or teach a girl... Shit I don't know. Anyway point taken, I don't disagree with your bottom line. From where I stand though you put the cart before the horse. Sure raising kids would be awesome, but before I do that I have to find a mother. An idea you gloss over with a single sentence. I can't even find a chick worth dating seriously, much less someone I'd allow to have my kids.

I just started the chapter on feet. Another part of this book is about pacifying behaviors, it was also really useful. I work in a field where i'm negotiating cold with people and it has helped me read how comfortable/uncomfortable they are with what I'm saying based on how often they touch their face or neck or pet their legs. It's also been useful for me to not engage in these behaviors to give the impression that I'm completely comfortable with the situation. Great book do recommend.

I do this same thing as far as feeling guilty about not maximizing the use of my time, and its probably impatience for me. My thought is if i put in that much more today then I will arrive at my goal that much sooner. I've recently started reading The Slight Edge and I found it pretty helpful for approaching working towards goals but not seeing rapid results and accepting that and continuing to work patiently and consistently.

For men who do live by a code the tips I'd offer is 1.) Learn to spot anyone who would take advantage of your principles for their own gain and stay away. 2.) Don't do it for anyone but yourself. No one will learn from or emulate you, no one will reciprocate. Few will respect you for it.
