Reddit is actually going downhill these days. People have been saying that for ten years. And, frankly, I believe that they've been right about it for the entire duration.

It's more like fanatics in general tend to take over subs. It really isn't about particular parties, ideas, or beliefs, but about how militantly people believe said things. The function of reddit enables this kind of thing and always has. For ten years it's been one group of crazies taking over some groups while a different group of crazies spreads about elsewhere. It's just a weird microcosm of unique political machinations seemingly only tangentially related to real world politics.

In American culture, to a certain extent "tall" is considered an attractive trait by a great many - for both genders but more so for men. So, more attractive women do tend to be attracted to taller men based on your (statistically proven) correct statement about equal or similar levels of attraction. Obviously this has its limits, but it's a factor.

The admins are either afraid or think alike. I'm not sure which, and maybe it's both. I refuse to believe they are ignorant. Well... Maybe they are. Who knows? It's not like reddit got popular because the admins are known as intelligent or innovative. They could truly be stupid or immoral. They are definitely open to bribery, and are concerned with money over users. People seem to have a lot of expectations regarding the admins, but really there is no reason to believe they were ever intelligent…

I'd say things are slightly better, though, if only because more users are aware of the issue. A year ago if you disparaged SRS 90%+ of the general reddit population would not believe you no matter how much evidence you presented, and even normal Redditors would side with them due to misinformation or ignorance. The fact that we can point out the issue without being downvoted to hell is a vast improvement - and a recent one at that, given how long this has been going on. Many of us have always k…

The feminists of the suffrage movement did not back down. Things have changed, I guess.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
