2	I hope its not a repost. American response about pierced ears on infants vs circumcision Pretty lame comparison. The survey didn't ask whether it was ethical, it simply asks if you would pierce your child's ears. Most of the respondents probably wondered "why would I want my infant to wear ear rings?" and clicked no. You would receive similar criticism if you went around wearing an orange bathrobe and purple pants. It's just not socially acceptable. Gender differences in fashion are not because of discrimination, but because the genders look different. For example, a 200 lb man would look ridiculous in a dress. -5	If a woman can abort a baby, as well as her responsibility to said child, without the father's consent, should the father be able to abort his responsibility to pay child support if the mother refuses adoption or abortion? It's not about rights, it's about the welfare of the child. There will never be perfect equality on an issue where there is an unavoidable genetic inequality. It's not society's fault, it's just nature. Besides, what are the practical effects of such legislation? Financial insecurity would force women to abort their children, give them up for adoption, or taxes would be raised to support single mothers. 12	Woman wants my boyfriend to be the father of her kid, who already has a dad, to get out of her marriage... Can I get some advice? I'm a little scatterbrained right now, sorry for the scattered info. OP already stated that the other guy's name is on the birth certificate. Also I'm pretty sure you can't sneak someone's name on a birth certificate and automatically make them the father without them having any contact with the child.
